Story
Hello!! My name is Cooper  Here is some information about me: Breed: Maltipoo Age: 4 years old Gender: Male Weight: 14.5 lbs Height: tbd Highlights: Sweet, playful  & affectionate Hi… I’m Cooper. And I’m ready to tell you how I ended up looking for my forever family. Not too long ago, I was abandoned at a park in California. I don’t really know why, but suddenly I was all on my own. The police found me and took me somewhere safe—so yes, I spent a few days “behind bars.” Don’t worry though, the officers were kind, and I was cared for while I waited for my next chapter to begin. That chapter came when some wonderful humans stepped in and made sure I didn’t get forgotten. Now I’m safe, loved, and getting ready for a big adventure… I’m heading to Vancouver and arriving on February 11th! I can’t wait to see snowflakes, cozy couches, and—hopefully—you. I’m a 4-year-old Maltipoo (that’s the best guess!) with a sweet, gentle heart. I’m friendly, easygoing, and currently sharing my foster home in California with a large female doodle. We get along just fine, and I even enjoy playing with toys when I’m feeling comfortable. As I settle in and decompress, my foster family is learning more about my personality—but so far, I’m proving to be a lovely little guy. I’m small, non-shedding, and hoping to find a family who’s ready to spoil me rotten (I promise I’ll return the favor with loyalty and love). If you’re looking for a charming, soft-hearted companion to join your life, I might just be the perfect match. Love,Cooper Energy Level:  tbd I get along with: Dogs: Yes Cats: Unknown Kids: Unknown Fears/Prey Drive:  tbd Training:  tbd Leash Skills: tbd. House trained: tbd. Please assist training me where to go in my new home. Health Notes: I am healthy, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. My adoption fee is $850 CAD plus taxes.  This includes my transport to Canada. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if the dog is shown to be good with children we will approve homes with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.  While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be charged the passenger fee in addition to this. [MID EAST DOGS] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##2654007##

Story
Born in February 2020, our energetic and loyal dog is looking for a warm, patient, and experienced forever home. This pup thrives on attention and bonds deeply with family members. Protective by nature, he is not friendly with other dogs or strangers, and will do best in a calm, adult-only home without other pets. He is full of life, smart, and very devoted once trust is built, ideal for some familiar with dog behavior and committed to providing a structured, loving environment. If you’re looking for a fiercely loyal companion and have the experience to manage his strong personality, this might be the perfect match. We are seeking a compassionate adopter who understands the needs of a protective dog and can offer a stable, affectionate home.

Story
✅️Currently located in South Korea✅️ Meet Noah🤍 💙 Noah’s Account: @aki.noa.sushi 1. Health • Neutering/Spaying: Completed • Other: Microchipped; had bladder stone surgery and molar extraction. Fully blind in one eye due to cataracts. Experiences coughing when temperatures drop, requiring steroid medication if coughing occurs. Has partial hearing loss. All teeth except molars have been extracted, so he cannot eat hard treats. 2. Rescue Story • Noah was rescued from a breeding facility alongside Aji and Aki before Adogs officially formed. He was adopted, but after his adopter passed away suddenly in September 2024, Noah returned to Adogs. He is looking for a family to help him overcome his grief and begin a new chapter of life. 3. Personality & Habits • With People: Very affectionate and sweet, loves both strangers and familiar people, and often approaches first asking for pets. • With Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs, both familiar and new friends. May show cute jealousy if another dog gets attention. • Separation Anxiety: Calm when left with Aki, though Aki has separation anxiety that affects Noah. If left with another dog or person, he waits quietly. • House Training: Fully pee pad trained (100% accuracy), though he prefers pooping outdoors. He tends to pee near the edge of the pad, so surrounding it with a fence or holder is helpful. • Hygiene/Grooming: Very calm and well-behaved during baths, drying, and brushing. • Walking on Leash: Walks well on a leash without pulling and keeps pace nicely. 4. Special Notes • May bark briefly when a stranger enters the room for the first time. In the evenings, he may bark for 5 minutes normally, or 20–30 minutes if he has extra energy. • Has a strong food drive and eats quickly when excited for meals, so feeding slowly and calmly is recommended.

Story
✅ Currently in South Korea 💜 Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto 💙 Name: Chohee 💙 Gender: Female 💙 Age: Estimated 2 years old (Born in January 2024) 💙 Weight: 7.4 kg / 16.3 lb 💙 Adogs Center Account: @_adogs_ 1⃣ Health Condition * Spayed.. * Microchipped, negative for heartworm, undergoing treatment for anaplasma. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Chohee had been rescued by an individual and moved to the vet’s, but the individual ceased contact and Chohee was about to be returned to the shelter. She would have struggled to adapt once more to the shelter, so Adogs urgently rescued her. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Isn’t shy or fearful of strangers. Expresses herself well with familiar people and is very friendly! When she wants something, she paws at you, such as when she wants more pets. * With Dogs: Prefers alone time rather than play with other dogs, but coexists with them peacefully. She’s currently living with #AdogsJinro who keeps bothering her, so she’s a little tired. . * With Cats: Hasn’t met cats yet. * Separation Anxiety: Is living in a communal environment at the Adogs Center, so it’s unknown if she has separation anxiety. May need basic training in a home environment. * Potty Training: Is pottying outdoors at the Center. May need basic training if her environment changes. * Walks: It hasn’t been long since she entered the Center, so her walking manners still need to be assessed. * Car Sickness: Unknown, as she hasn’t been on long-distance car rides yet. * Biting: When Jinro keeps nibbling on her and being annoying, Chohee sometimes nips back and gets angry. * Barking: Has a quiet personality and doesn’t bark for no reason. * Likes: Really likes being petted and doted upon!

Story
Cotton Age: 3 years Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Maltese Terrier mix Color: White / Beige Weight: 8 kg (17.6 lbs) Height: 36 cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story Cotton was rescued from an extreme animal hoarding situation where over 230 dogs were being kept in poor conditions. Despite her past, Cotton is a gentle and affectionate little girl who still loves people and seeks comfort from humans. Special Note: Congenital Deafness (born deaf)     ‍ Human Social Skills Cotton is very friendly and affectionate. She approaches both familiar people and strangers, enjoys rubbing against them, and allows easy handling. She can be comfortably picked up and will even show her belly once she bonds with you.   She is good with children under 13, but because she is deaf, she may get startled by sudden movements or unexpected touches.   Dog Social Skills Cotton will greet unfamiliar dogs but doesn’t really play with them. She generally prefers dogs similar to her size and feels overwhelmed by high-energy dogs.   Although she’s not very interested in other dogs, she has lived with many dogs before and may feel anxious if she is the only dog in the home.   Cats Cotton has passed her cat test and is currently being fostered in a home with cats. She usually ignores them, but sometimes at night, if she suddenly sees a cat’s shadow, she may get scared and bark.   Energy Level Low energy. Cotton loves to rest and sleep most of the day. Because she is deaf, once she falls asleep, she tends to sleep very deeply and for long periods.   Walks Cotton doesn’t have much walking experience yet, so she’s still learning. She generally follows her handler well, but if she feels scared, she may pull on the leash to move away from what’s frightening.   Other Behaviors & Notes • No resource guarding with people or dogs. • Very quiet at the center, but after moving to foster, she showed separation anxiety and howled for about 3 days. • After training, she can now stay alone (with another dog present) for over 3 hours calmly. • She sleeps in the same space as people but not right next to them. • Still struggling with crate training — she becomes anxious and barks when she can’t see people. • No car sickness, but she is scared of getting into the car and needs to be carried in. • Currently uses both pee pads indoors and outdoor potty.   Ideal Home Cotton would do best in a calm, patient home that understands deaf dogs and can communicate using visual cues and consistency. A home with another gentle dog may help her feel more secure.   She is a sweet, quiet soul who just needs time, stability, and love to truly blossom Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org Please also visit our Facebook and Instagram! Story
Echo Age: 2 years Sex: Neutered male Breed: Maltese/Terrier mix Color: White Weight: 9.1 kg (20 lbs) Height: 38 cm (15 in)   Echo is deaf (he cannot hear). He relies on visual cues and human guidance, and stays very attentive to his person.   Rescue Story: Echo was rescued from an animal hoarding situation where over 230 dogs were being kept.   Human Socialization   Echo is a very affectionate and friendly boy. He approaches both familiar people and strangers, rubs against them, and enjoys being petted. He likes both men and women and does well with children under 13 (he simply shows little interest). He is comfortable being picked up, and once he bonds with you, he loves showing his belly for rubs   Dog Socialization   Echo is friendly with both familiar and unfamiliar dogs and happily goes up to greet them. He doesn’t quite know how to “play properly” yet and mostly just runs around excitedly. He is not afraid of larger dogs, though he usually prefers dogs of similar size. If another dog provokes him, he tends to avoid conflict and gets along well without issues. After playtime, he usually likes to rest in his own quiet space.   Cats   His reaction to cats has not been observed yet, but a cat test can be arranged.   Energy Level   Low energy. Echo is a calm dog who enjoys relaxing and resting most of the time   Walks   Echo only recently started going on walks, so he is still learning to explore and sniff around. However, he walks nicely without pulling and follows his human well. Since he is deaf, he relies heavily on visual cues and tends to stay close and attentive to his handler.   Other Behaviors   Echo does not resource guard food with either people or dogs and is not particularly food-motivated.   Because he was born and raised among many dogs, he has some baseline separation anxiety. When first placed in a new environment—especially since he is deaf—he may feel anxious if he cannot see his person. In the past, he showed behaviors like scratching walls, the floor, or tearing pee pads.   However, once he adjusts, he becomes very relaxed, sleeps well, and can stay alone comfortably. He rarely barks and is currently doing both indoor pee pad training and outdoor potty.   Foster History   • First foster home: About 2 weeks. No howling when left alone, but scratched at closed doors. • Second foster home: About 1.5 months. Did well staying alone. • Current: Staying at the AKR Center.   Echo is a gentle, quiet, and loving soul. He may need a little patience during the initial adjustment period, but once he feels safe, he becomes an incredibly easy and calm companion who just wants to stay close to his person.
