Story
My name is BEEJO and here is a little info about me:Breed: Maltese Terrier mixAge: 8 monthsGender: maleWeight: 7 kgHeight: 23 cmHighlight(s): smart, playful, cuddler, energetic Cuddling is my thang, even with kids. Big snuggle bunny here.So happy my rescuers saved me from a breeder or I would have been doomed to a life of misery.I enjoy going for walks and meeting new dogs to play with. After a long walk, I like to be a lap dog. You won't need a blanket to keep warm with me snuggled up with you.Currently I live in a foster home that has young children and I do great with them. We play and cuddle, it's great. I love getting treats and playing with toys too, as I am quite playful. You'll find I am also very smart. I'm sure I could learn a new language and lots of new commands pretty quickly. With lots of puppy energy to burn, a family that can give me a good amount of exercise and activities would be the best home for me. Another dog buddy aould be great or somewhere we can meet others for play. If you have kids, hoowaah... that's great too.Videos on the way, stay tuned. Energy Level: moderate-high (puppy energy)I get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknown, ok with them when out on walks so far, so likelyKids: yes Fears: none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training: potty trainedLeash skills: no. Please be prepared to train me.House trained: Yes. Outside and pee pads. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##1783066##

Story
Greetings, potential fur-ever family! My name is Liam, and I am a mature man who is ready to find my loving forever home. My life has been a bit of a journey so far, but I am hoping that my next chapter will be filled with love, playtime, and lots of treats! I spent most of my life in a cage with my old family, who eventually surrendered me. Despite my difficult past, I am a super sweet and gentle dog who loves making new friends. It may take me a little while to warm up to you, but once I do, I promise I will love you forever (P.S Treats definitely help!). I love going for walks outside. That's probably the best part of my day, feeling the fresh air and the sun on my fur. I know I'm not a young puppy anymore, but I just want to experience what it's like to have a family who cares for me. I don't want to spend my last years 5+ years of my life alone. I promise I'll be a good boy, and I'll always be grateful for the chance to be loved. So if you think you have room in your heart for a dog like me, please consider adopting me. Private message us or email adoption@rescuepawscanada.ca for adoption information 🐾
