Story
We have a transport leaving September 27th 2026 from where we are located in Southern California to NorCal, OR, and surrounding states as needed for our adopting families where we bring our dogs all the way to their homes 💗 For peace of mind we never ask for anything up front. The adoption fee along with your share of travel costs will be due the day we arrive in person ultimately finalizing the adoption then and there with you. We would love to add Buddy to our trip for the right family 😊
Meet Buddy, our adorable 2-year-old Maltipoo whose name truly couldn’t fit him any better. Buddy is everyone’s friend, and he seems to make that decision from the moment he meets you. 🩵
There really isn’t much of a warming-up period with this little guy. Buddy loves meeting new people and greets everyone as though they might just be his newest best friend. He has one of those happy, unforgettable personalities that makes you feel as though you’ve known him far longer than you actually have.
Buddy came to us because his previous owner found herself facing financial circumstances that made continuing to care for him increasingly difficult. She had always made sure Buddy’s needs were met and never wanted him to reach a point where he had to go without the basic necessities and care he deserved. Rather than waiting until things became harder, she made the incredibly responsible decision to reach out to us and ask for help finding Buddy a wonderful new home.
And now that’s exactly what we’re hoping to find for him. 🩵
Buddy loves his walks and will happily join you just about anywhere. Whether you’re taking a simple walk around the block, heading out for an afternoon together, or strolling along while doing a little window shopping, Buddy is ready to come along. He genuinely enjoys being part of whatever his people are doing.
He’s also GREAT on road trips. We’ve had Buddy with us on a few of our longer drives, and he absolutely loved venturing along. He’s the kind of dog who makes having a companion beside you feel easy because he’s simply happy to be included.
Buddy is wonderful with other dogs and does great with cats as well. He previously lived with cats and couldn’t have cared less about sharing his home with them, making him a wonderful option for a family with other four-legged members already waiting at home.
He is house trained and goes outside to use the restroom when asked. His house manners are wonderful, and he is also crate trained. Buddy currently sleeps peacefully in his crate at night, but he doesn’t need to remain a crate sleeper forever. With the manners he’s shown us in the home, I believe he would do just fine transitioning to sleeping outside of his crate if that’s what his future family prefers.
Buddy isn’t a barker and is generally very well adapted to the everyday sounds happening around him. Like most dogs, he may occasionally alert if something unfamiliar genuinely catches him off guard, but unnecessary barking simply isn’t part of his normal personality.
He’s also wonderful at the groomers and handles his grooming beautifully. As a Maltipoo, regular brushing and professional grooming will need to remain part of his lifelong care to keep his coat healthy and comfortable.
Medically, Buddy is fully vetted and ready for adoption. He is neutered, microchipped, current on all of his vaccines, and has been cared for and prepared for his transition into his forever home.
There are some dogs you meet and feel like you’re still getting to know weeks later, and then there are dogs like Buddy. He’s the kind of dog who can walk into your life and somehow make it feel as though he’s always been there. He loves easily, adapts beautifully, enjoys people and animals alike, and is just genuinely happy to be part of your world.
Maybe that’s what makes his name so perfect 😊
He’s not looking for just an owner. He’s ready to become someone’s Buddy for life. 🩵
