Story
Ella, aka Eleanor, is a small fluffy white dog, is likely a Maltese/Yorkie mix. She's 10-12 years old and is 5.9 pounds and gaining (yay!). She's spayed, heartworm negative, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. About Ella: - She loves to eat (Hill's K/D please) - She loves to stroll - she'll go out when its wet - Fine with dogs, cats, respectful kids (teens preferred) - Prefers to potty outside, uses potty pads in the house Check out Ella's full profile and submit an adoption application on our site: https://www.fawnssmalldogrescue.org/adoptable-dogs/ella Ella arrived to Fawn's malnourished and weighing just over 4 lbs. We're not sure what happened in her previous life, while we can tell that she was bred, its clear from her demeanor that she was also a cherished pet. Ella likes to be held, especially if you're walking around the house and she gets to be nosy with you. It's her second favorite activity to strolling the neighborhood. Her third favorite is activity is snoozing on your lap in the sunshine. Ella's ideal home has someone around frequently, ideally most of the day. She'd do best with adopters who enjoy daily walks and want to get their steps in. She prefers to potty outside or on potty pads, she doesn't like diapers. She doesn't require a fenced yard, but it makes night time potty breaks easier. She ignores young children, unless they're loud or get her space. Due to her size and excellent hearing, she's best suited for adults or families with older respectful teens. To management her renal condition, she must continue to eat a prescription diet and renal supplement. She had dental done and has plenty of teeth so she can easily and happily eat a combination of wet and dry food which makes the diet far more cost effective. All of our dogs are fostered in or around Jacksonville, FL. We adopt within a 150 mile radius of Jacksonville, which includes parts of Georgia.
