She never received the care, socialization, or support every dog deserves, but she’s already showing us how much heart she has. Tulip is shy with people, yet she allows gentle handling and will let you pick her up. With patience and kindness, she’s beginning to show curiosity toward the affection she’s getting from our staff and volunteers. Watching her discover that humans can be safe is incredibly rewarding. She is good with other dogs, but we are not totally sure about cats though. She’ll need gentle guidance as she learns about life in a real home — things like housebreaking, normal household noises, and everyday activities such as a dishwasher running or a TV turned on. With time and reassurance, she’ll blossom. At the sanctuary, Tulip is loving her new freedom and the comfort of being with other dogs. She’s sweet, soft‑natured, and has all the potential to become an amazing family member for someone who understands that progress comes in small, beautiful steps. If you’re looking for a tender soul to nurture and celebrate as she grows, Tulip may be the perfect match. * Would do best in a home with no small children Medical Alert: During routine vetting, Tulip was found to be heartworm positive. She is currently receiving medications to slowly kill off the heartworms and is doing very well. Hope Rescues will continue to pay for the medical care associated with the heartworms until she tests negative. Please help us make room to save more homeless pets!!! She was rescued from a commercial breeder, so the world is still a very big, very unfamiliar place to her. Dahlia is shy and easily overwhelmed, but beneath that fear is an incredibly sweet, gentle girl who wants to trust. Even when she’s scared, Dahlia has never tried to bite. She’ll let you pick her up, hold her close, and reassure her that she’s safe. With patience, kindness, and a predictable routine, she will continue to blossom. Dahlia would do best in a calm home with another friendly dog who can help her learn that life isn’t so scary after all. She’s great with other dogs, and while we’re not sure about cats, her soft temperament suggests she may adjust with slow introductions. Because she’s timid and sensitive, Dahlia would thrive in a home without young children. If you’re looking for a tender, quiet companion who just needs someone to show her what love feels like, Dahlia is ready to start her new chapter. Please help us make room to save more homeless pets!!! Story
Shia is a beautiful 5-year-old Maltipoo who is finally getting the chance to discover what life as a beloved pet should be. Before coming to All About Paws, Shia lived in a breeding environment and even had her last litter while in rescue care. Now that her puppies are grown, it’s finally her turn to be spoiled, loved, and learn how to simply be a dog. Shia is a very loving little girl who adores her humans and happily hands out plenty of sweet kisses. She loves cuddling up on laps and sleeping in bed close to her person. While she can have a playful, high-energy side, she also enjoys relaxing and lounging with her family after she gets her wiggles out. She is still learning many things about the world around her. Shia does okay walking on a leash, but she continues to build confidence with practice and patience. Car rides are especially scary for her right now. Her foster mom has been gently working with her to help her feel more comfortable, but this will be something her future family will need to continue helping her with over time. Shia is currently potty pad trained, and her foster mom is working on outdoor potty training — although Shia can be a little stubborn about changing her routine. Consistency and encouragement will go a long way as she continues adjusting to her new life. Her ideal home would include another friendly dog to help guide her, play with her, and give her companionship. Because she loves to run and jump, a securely fenced yard would be perfect for her to safely burn off energy and enjoy herself. Shia is looking for a patient, loving family that will continue helping her grow in confidence while giving her the affection she’s missed for so many years. In return, she’ll provide endless cuddles, kisses, and loyal companionship. Shia is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, had a heart worm test, on heartworm preventative, de-wormed, had a dental, and microchipped. Shia’s adoption fee is $350.00.
