Augie is a previous ARF dog who was adopted at 6 months of age. he was renamed Teddy by his family, but for ARF record keeping, he is posted as Augie. He finds himself looking for a more suitable home for his needs. This dog's adoption fee is $450. If you are still interested, please read more below. Augie (aka Teddy) is a loving, energetic, and joyful dog. He enjoys cuddling on the sofa and giving hugs and kisses. He loves playing with people, children, dogs, and toys. He is funny, agile, and vocal during play. He is looking for an active, engaging home where someone is around most of the time. His current maximum alone time is 4 hours. Teddy becomes anxious when left without a human, even if familiar dogs are present. His anxiety can cause destructive behavior and accidents, so having a large open safe space for him to be when alone will be key. His current family allows him free roam. He is primarily potty trained with the occasional accident. He wears a belly band when he is left home alone. He enjoys zoomies, food puzzles, lick mats, snuffle mats, treats, enrichment, and predictable routines. He does good on a leash. Teddy would thrive in an active home with a fenced yard, plenty of stimulation, and ideally one or two other playful dogs and/or a human who likes to run. Augie is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations and neutered. This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.
