This is Teddy, a gentle 15-year-old Maltese mix who is looking for a very special place to spend his golden years. Teddy came to us after his beloved owner was suddenly unable to care for him despite their wishes. Now this sweet senior finds himself searching for comfort, stability, and a soft place to land. At his age, Teddy is hard of hearing and has limited vision, but he still moves through the world with quiet trust and a tender spirit. He also has a heart murmur, which is not uncommon in senior dogs his age. Because of his overall condition and age, he is not a candidate for surgical procedures. We are seeking a hospice foster or adopter who understands that his care is focused on comfort, love, and quality of life. Teddy is not a demanding boy, he is happiest simply being near his person, resting in a cozy bed, and enjoying the peace of a safe home where he can feel secure. What he needs most is simple: a gentle routine, a soft place to rest, and someone who will walk beside him with patience and kindness in this stage of life. If you have room in your heart and home for a senior soul who still has so much love to give in his own quiet way, Teddy would be deeply grateful for the chance to be cherished in his remaining time.
