Meet Henry, a handsome 12-year-old Maltese gentleman weighing in at a cuddly 13 pounds. Henry is being fostered in Versailles, KY. Don’t let his age fool you—Henry still has plenty of pep in his step and a heart overflowing with love to give. For more information email the foster at CTWard@aol.com Henry came to rescue from a loving home where he was cherished and well cared for. When family circumstances changed, his owner made the difficult decision to help him find the calm, stable home he deserves for his golden years. This sweet boy is everything people love about senior dogs. He’s affectionate, gentle, and happiest when he’s close to his people. Henry will gladly follow you from room to room, keeping you company throughout the day before settling in for one of his favorite activities—a cozy nap. He walks nicely on a leash, rides well in the car, and gets along beautifully with both people and other pets. While Henry enjoys his naps, he certainly hasn’t retired from life. He still has a playful spark and a joyful spirit that make him much younger than his years. His foster family says he doesn’t act like an old dog at all! Henry is mostly house trained but does best with frequent potty breaks and a family who pays attention to his cues. Like many food-loving pups, he appreciates dining separately from other pets. He can be vocal when left alone, so he’d be happiest in a home where someone is around much of the time to enjoy his loyal companionship. Henry is up to date on all of his veterinary care and ready to begin his next chapter. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend, a faithful shadow, and a loving companion to share life’s quieter moments, Henry may be the perfect match. Little Stevie Ray sure does get around amazingly well for being blind. His foster mom reports that he uses his nose as a guide and can find everything! He loves to play, take naps, and cuddle. He even prefers being carried around like a baby. Stevie gets along great with other dogs and would love to have a friend. He is not fully house trained, but can use belly bands while roaming freely in the house. His foster has him in a dog playpen at night to give him room to move incase of accidents. Stevie needs a home with humans that are patient with him. It will take a few days for him to get comfortable and house training is not always fun. He loves to roll around in the grass and stinky dirt, so be prepared for bathing too! He sleeps all night but usually between 7-8 am he barks to be taken out. After that he is content to go back and lay down. We know there is someone out there for Stevie Ray. He is just waiting until that special person finds him and can see him as the precious little gem that he is! He is nine years old and weighs around eight pounds. Our adoption fee helps offset the cost of preparing our guests to enter a forever home! While expenses for each animal varies, the average healthy dog or cat receives $500 in medical treatment between intake and adoption. Variables in the cost are conditional based on guest needs with some topping out at thousands of dollars. Lacey is a 4-5yr old maltipoo who is paralyzed and incontinent. She gets around great and is amazing for her diaper changes.
