Little Stevie Ray sure does get around amazingly well for being blind. His foster mom reports that he uses his nose as a guide and can find everything! He loves to play, take naps, and cuddle. He even prefers being carried around like a baby. Stevie gets along great with other dogs and would love to have a friend. He is not fully house trained, but can use belly bands while roaming freely in the house. His foster has him in a dog playpen at night to give him room to move incase of accidents. Stevie needs a home with humans that are patient with him. It will take a few days for him to get comfortable and house training is not always fun. He loves to roll around in the grass and stinky dirt, so be prepared for bathing too! He sleeps all night but usually between 7-8 am he barks to be taken out. After that he is content to go back and lay down. We know there is someone out there for Stevie Ray. He is just waiting until that special person finds him and can see him as the precious little gem that he is! He is nine years old and weighs around eight pounds. Our adoption fee helps offset the cost of preparing our guests to enter a forever home! While expenses for each animal varies, the average healthy dog or cat receives $500 in medical treatment between intake and adoption. Variables in the cost are conditional based on guest needs with some topping out at thousands of dollars. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Hattie! This little lady is looking for her special someone and a lap to curl up on.  Hattie is a maltese/poodle mix, approximately 10 yrs. old, and almost a whole 5lbs!  She was born with congenital small eye in her right eye and has a cataract in her left eye but seems to have most of her vision and gets around great.  Hattie does have a small heart murmur and is scheduled for a dental but otherwise in great health.  She is up to date on shots and Heartworm/flea medications.   Hattie needs a more calm and quiet home with a mostly stay at home person who wants lots of snuggles.  She will tolerate other dogs (cats unknown) as long as they give her space and not bother her. Hattie is potty trained but does like to explore so a fenced in yard or someone who is willing to go outdoors with her is required.  She is either following her foster mom around or snuggled next to or on  her lap.  She sleeps well in a kennel and will tolerate being in one but she will let you know she isn't happy about it for a few minutes before settling down.  Hattie is the sweetest little snuggle bug who just wants someone to cuddle with and give lots of love to.  Does Miss Hattie sound like the perfect best friend for you?  If so, please feel out an application and make arrangements to meet Hatttie in person.Adoption fee to help defray vet costs:  $100.
