Story
Puppy is lovable and very active, she loves long walks and runs. She can keep up if your a light jogger, but will stop to smell the hydrant. She is playful and gets very excited when she sees the mailman. She is a protector once she establishes who is caring for her. This is good and bad. She is a barker and will alert you to things. She is always in a good mood and loves her owner. She will get your emotions up if you are down. She is ❤️ love. Puppy, eats twice daily, she is funny about her meals and will pick out what she doesn’t like.I am looking for a loving person to care for a loving puppy. The fees are negotiable, I would like her to be truly cared for.

Story
Meet Pinocchio aka Pino! Like his namesake, Pino has a memorable little stride—thanks to an old back injury, he rocks an adorable quirky walk that only adds to his charm. This 11-pound sweetheart lost the only home he knew at 9–10 years old and is looking for a family to spend his golden years with. He loves following his people from room to room, sleeping in bed, and making friends with other small dogs. 11 lbs • 9-10 years old • Neutered • Vaccinated • Microchipped • Fresh dental cleaning Pino is working on potty training after bladder stone surgery and will need prescription food for life to help prevent future stones. He's not a fan of crates, but he's a huge fan of snuggles, companionship, and being your loyal little shadow. Could you be the happy ending this deserving senior has been waiting for? Story
Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee. MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—>PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/TAP/2450-michigan-adoption Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications. The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport. Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas pup a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!

Story
Meet Tipper!Meet me and some of my other foster friends this Saturday, May 30 from 11am – 2pm at Meadow Brook Amphitheatre! We would love to help you find your newest family member. To help make the adoption process smoother, please complete an adoption application online ahead of time to become pre-approved. All members of the household — including any current dogs — must be present at the event so we can complete introductions and help verify compatibility. Please note that we do not hold dogs, and many potential adopters will be attending the event. We hope to see you there! Tipper is an adorable little Maltese/Poodle mix (best guess) with the sweetest soulful eyes and a heart that just wants to love her people. At just 1 year old and around 8lbs, this tiny girl is looking for the safe, loving forever home she has always deserved after being found as a stray in Detroit and sadly never reclaimed. Like many dogs who have had an uncertain start, Tipper can be a little hesitant around unfamiliar faces initially. She takes a little time to feel comfortable, but once she trusts you, she becomes your tiny shadow. Tipper wants to be as close to her people as possible and will happily follow you from room to room throughout the day. Because she bonds so closely, her future family will need to be mindful when opening doors, as she is very prone to wanting to stay right by your side. Tipper absolutely loves cuddling on the couch and would be more than happy to share your bed at night. She has a gentle and affectionate personality once she settles in and truly enjoys simply being near the people she loves most. However, she is quite spunky and young still, so she very much needs a family that can keep up with her puppy-like energy! She does well with other dogs and has shown no issues with cats. Due to her initially timid nature, she would do best with adults or older, dog-savvy children who can respect her boundaries and help build her confidence. Tipper can be vocal when she hears unfamiliar noises or wants to alert her people to possible “dangers,” so she would not be a good fit for apartment or tightly knit living. She is not particularly fond of the crate but is slowly learning routine and structure in foster care. She has already demonstrated a good understanding of house manners and continues to make wonderful progress every day. She is also learning how to play with toys and discovering that life can actually be fun. Tipper has had very little experience walking on a leash and can be nervous in unfamiliar outdoor settings, so she will need a patient family willing to work slowly on building her confidence with leash walking and new experiences. At this time, Tipper would do best with a secure physical fenced yard. She is not a candidate for an invisible fence or tether system. As with many Maltese/Poodle mixes, Tipper will require regular grooming to keep her coat healthy and comfortable. Tipper is searching for a patient, understanding family that will give her the love, security, and commitment she deserves for the rest of her life. In return, she promises to be the most loyal little companion by your side furever. Tipper is: Current on Bordetella, Distemper, and RabiesDewormedHeartworm Tested: NegativeReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedSpayedADOPTION FEE: $375 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal’s temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different. While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program. FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS. ##2745802##

Story
Dylan is a sweet Chihuahua Maltese mix. He is three years old. He does not have the Chihuahua personality. Dylan does not bond to only one member of the family, he loves the whole family equally. He loves short walks, he needs to be walked on a harness. He loves playing in the backyard. He is housebroken, crate trained, leash trained current on his vaccinations, had a dental 4 months ago, is on flea and tick and heart worm medication. Dylan is an all around happy little boy. Dylan is 9 lbs and loves all dog food, he’s not a picker eater. Dylan is my heart, I love him tremendously! I have to re home him because I am terminally ill. I have to go into hospice. All I am looking for is a safe, happy, loving home for my Dylan. He will be the family’s best friend and sidekick! He would be very happy if there was another dog in the home. He’s not good around cats. He wants to play with them like they are dogs. He’s nervous around small children, he would do well with children 8 or older.
