Story
We can't wait to introduce you to Dovie! Dovie is a one-year-old 7-pound spayed Maltese mix. Dovie has not had the best first year of her life. She came to us as a stray. When finally secured, she was terrified, super thin, and extremely matted. It was so bad she couldn't defecate. She must have gone through some trauma because this little love bug is very fearful of people coming into her home- she will bark, scream, and lunge, but she hasn't bitten. She will need a patient groomer and likely anxiety medication before grooming (which she will require). Baths are also scary for her. Once she's comfortable, she loves hard. You will get the BEST hugs and kisses! She becomes outgoing and playful! She wants to sleep touching her person. She uses the dog door and potty pads but still has occasional accidents in the house. Dovie is great with other dogs and enjoys playing and wrestling with dogs her size. She loves toys, too. On walks, she needs reassurance from her trusted human, but once she checks in, she usually is okay. In the car, she does have some anxiety as well. She tends to feel most comfortable on a lap. Dovie will need a patient home that can give her the time, love, and support she needs to be happy and successful. We recommend an adults-only home as children usually have lots of friends over to play with, and she's not a fan. She also can be an escape artist, and kids tend to not be mindful of letting a dog out. Due to her screaming and noises outside, it may also be a good idea to not be in an apartment. She is microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. If you're interested and wanting to give this well deserving girl a loving forever home please fill out an adoption interest form on our website and the foster will get back to you shortly if you're a good candidate.

Story
Have you ever heard the term parents use to describe their very adorable, but very bratty children? I believe they call them Sassholes, and if you were to use a word to describe Bunny that would be it. Speaking of children, they are a hard pass for Bunny, he's not into nonsense, and therefore does not want to share a home with anyone who can't legally drink..and if you are the guardian of Bunny, you're going to want to drink. "What do you mean? you may ask, "His name is Bunny, isn't he sweet and innocent? No...Bunny came to us with his name, and we are now thinking it was a guise by his previous owner, to ensure we would accept him into the rescue. Bunny is a 12 lb ball of fury, who has been with us for two years. Not because people haven't wanted to adopt him, but because we weren't ready to release this menace into society. Now, Bunny does have some redeeming qualities, he's potty trained, crate trained, walks better on a leash then any of my other dogs, and will definitely keep you entertained with his antics. He'll greet you excitedly at the door when you return home, just make sure you pet him for exactly the amount of time he deems appropriate and not a moment longer, if you'd like to keep all of your digits. If you're the kind of person that likes decorative pillows (you can look but don't touch) then Bunny could be a match for you. Bunny's ideal home would be a single woman, or woman only household. He could grow to tolerate a man, like most of us learn to, but would prefer not to. Bunny currently lives with other dogs, where he punks them on the daily. Can he share a home with another dog? sure! Will your other dogs question what karmic laws they broke to deserve their new "brother daily, ABSOLUTELY. Now if you've read this entire bio and are still considering adding Bunny to your home, we can ensure you that the little guy is truly special. Although we wrote this bio to get some laughs and hopefully a lot of exposure for our "Bun Boy we know that in a loving, understanding, and patient home Bunny would thrive. Story
Okay…. Who likes combinations? like, sweet and sour.If you thought I do .. then TinkerBell is the perfect dog for you.TinkerBell is a Maltese mix and she’s 7 years old.It takes a while for her to warm up to you.But giving her her space helps and also talking on her level. When she starts to trust you she will start to sit beside you or sit in your lap. Touching her takes more time. She’ll let you know on her own time if it’s okay to touch her by putting her paw on you like she’s trying to pull your hand towards her “I’ll ask can I pet you” and she’ll put her head up in the air. But you’ll have to remember less is more. She guards her food, feed her separately and she also guards her toys, so no home with small kids. TinkerBell is in a foster home with other dogs and cats.Is a fast learner and can catch onto your routine, also she’s independent. She loves car rides, going on long walks. She’s treat motivated or showing her her leash can help to get her to do something. So if sweet and sour is your thing please fill out an adoption application and text her foster mom Tyara at (702)466-7594.
