Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Wynter is a happy little sweetheart with a big personality packed into her adorable 10-pound frame! This affectionate young girl absolutely loves being the center of attention and is always ready to soak up every bit of love, praise, and head rubs her people are willing to give. Like many puppy mill survivors, Wynter is still discovering all the wonderful parts of being a cherished family dog — and she is embracing the good life beautifully! She enjoys cozy naps in her favorite bed, tasty meals and snacks, and occasional bursts of playful zoomies around the yard. Her foster family lovingly refers to her as a “chunky monkey,” and Wynter certainly never misses an opportunity for a good snack. Wynter is a gentle, social girl who gets along very well with her foster dog siblings and would truly benefit from having a confident companion dog of similar size/energy level in her forever home to continue helping her build confidence and learn the routines of family life. She thrives with companionship and enjoys having furry friends nearby. Because Wynter loves attention and interaction, she would do best in a more active household where she has plenty of companionship, affection, and opportunities to be involved in daily life. She does have a little stubborn streak that only adds to her charm! Wynter sometimes likes to come inside on her own schedule and can occasionally hesitate when walking through open doorways. Her forever family will need patience, understanding, and a sense of humor as she continues gaining confidence and learning that the world is a safe place. Because safety is so important for puppy mill survivors, Wynter requires a securely fenced yard where she can safely explore, relax, and enjoy her outdoor adventures. Wynter’s ideal forever home will be one filled with kindness, patience, routine, activity, and lots of affection. In return, this sweet little girl will reward her family with endless love, adorable companionship, and the joy of watching her confidence continue to blossom every day. Wynter’s adoption donation is $550. She is fully vetted including spay, microchip, dental cleaning, current vaccinations, negative heartworm test, and she is current on heartworm and flea prevention. Wynter is ready to find the forever family who will show her just how wonderful life can truly be.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.  May 25, 2026, 6:42 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Marnie — Tiny Body, Huge Personality Marnie is a sweet, loving little lady who came into rescue as a stray and has absolutely blossomed in foster care. She adores her people and thrives when she can be close to them, whether that’s relaxing on the couch, supervising the household, or joining in on daily routines. This adorable girl has plenty of personality packed into her tiny frame! Marnie enjoys short strolls, car rides, soft toys, and keeping an eye on the neighborhood happenings. She also takes her “security team” responsibilities seriously and will happily alert you when she hears something important. Marnie does best on a consistent routine and has done very well with potty pads and scheduled potty breaks in her foster home. Because she prefers having her people nearby, she would be happiest in a home where someone is home often and can give her the love and companionship she craves. She gets along with her foster sibling and may enjoy a calm companion dog with a similar size and energy level, but she would also be perfectly content as the center of attention in her forever home. Marnie does have a mild movement-related condition that is currently very well managed with supportive care, supplements, and holistic therapies. It does not slow her down or impact her happy quality of life, and she continues to thrive in foster care. Her ideal home will be calm, loving, and understanding of her desire to be close to her people. A fenced yard is preferred since she is most comfortable with backyard potty breaks rather than leash walking for potty time. If you’re looking for a loyal, entertaining, and incredibly devoted little companion, Marnie may be the perfect match for you. Marnie’s adoption donation is $400 and she is being fostered in Central Ohio. She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, Bordetella, and bivalent canine influenza vaccines, tested negative for heartworms, started on heartworm and flea prevention, and has also had a dental cleaning. Marnie requires a forever home with a strong veterinary medical history committed to maintaining her ongoing wellness and preventative care.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Amy – Sweetness, Snuggles & Sunday Drives If you’re searching for a loving little companion to share life’s simple pleasures, Amy may be the perfect match for you. This sweetheart has a gentle, affectionate personality and truly enjoys being close to her people. Whether it’s going for a walk, hopping in the car for a ride, or curling up for a cozy nap, Amy is happiest simply spending time with the ones she loves. Amy has a wonderful temperament and is described as incredibly sweet and loving toward people. She enjoys attention and companionship and would thrive in a home where she can be included in daily life and routines. She especially loves leisurely walks and car rides and would make an excellent sidekick for someone who enjoys getting out and about with their dog. While Amy does not require a fenced yard, she does enjoy regular walks and would love a family committed to keeping her active with daily strolls and adventures. Her energy level is low to moderate, making her a wonderful companion for a home looking for a dog who enjoys activity but also appreciates downtime and relaxation. Amy would do best in a home where she can soak up plenty of love and attention from her people. She enjoys being the center of someone’s world and will thrive as a cherished companion. She does well with children and absolutely adores human companionship. She does well on housetraining when kept on a schedule but patience, understanding and consistency will continue to help her succeed. Amy does require daily eye drops for dry eye, which is a very common and manageable condition we see in many Shih Tzu and small breed dogs. The medication is simple to administer, part of a normal routine for many adopters, and Amy is wonderful about receiving her drops. Amy’s ideal home will appreciate her sweet nature, enjoy taking her on walks and car rides, and welcome a devoted little companion into their hearts and home. She is ready to begin the next chapter of her life with a family to call her own. Amy’s adoption donation is $400. She is spayed, microchipped, current on rabies, distemper/parvo, Bordetella, and bivalent canine influenza vaccines, heartworm negative, current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention, and has also had a dental cleaning completed. Amy is being fostered in Central Ohio and is ready for adoption. Story
Hi my name is Zsa zsa! I'm a Morkie! Maltese/Yorkie mix, weight about 16lbs.  My foster mom thinks more Maltese than Yorkie because of my long glamorous hair. I'll need my hair done, darling, from time to time. It's shorter now. I'm wearing my summer hairdo.    Here's what my foster mom knows about me so far:    Housetrained Power walker. Short walks are fine. Professional napper, I’d rather nap than play.  No small children, never been around them.  Probably not a good candidate for other dogs. It might interfere with my beauty sleep. But I'm ok with dogs that respect my boundaries. (Zsa Zsa lives with 3 other dogs with no problems.)    Here's my don't likes:   I dont like being left alone. I like being around my people (Someone who works from home or perhaps retired would be ideal. I used to be left alone for hours in the past) I’d rather sleep with you than stay in a crate. Not a crate fan.  I may not be ideal for apartment/Condo life. I like to talk at times. But your Amazon and mailman are fine. :)  Zsa Zsa’s foster mom says she is pretty easy to take care of  ❤️ Love's her dogbed and looking outside is her jam.  If your looking for a new best friend, look no further.Zsa zsa just wants to be adored and loved.
