Story
Meet my sweet purebred Maltese puppy, born December 22, 2025. He is a loving, playful, and affectionate little boy who enjoys cuddling, playing, and being around people. He has a wonderful personality and brings so much joy to everyone he meets. He is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, and veterinary records will be provided. He is healthy, happy, and looking for a family that can give him the time, love, and care he deserves. This is an extremely difficult decision, and I am only rehoming him due to housing and financial circumstances. My priority is finding him a safe, stable, and loving forever home where he will be treated as a member of the family.A rehoming fee applies to ensure a serious and committed adopter.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Wynter is a happy little sweetheart with a big personality packed into her adorable 10-pound frame! This affectionate young girl absolutely loves being the center of attention and is always ready to soak up every bit of love, praise, and head rubs her people are willing to give. Like many puppy mill survivors, Wynter is still discovering all the wonderful parts of being a cherished family dog — and she is embracing the good life beautifully! She enjoys cozy naps in her favorite bed, tasty meals and snacks, and occasional bursts of playful zoomies around the yard. Her foster family lovingly refers to her as a “chunky monkey,” and Wynter certainly never misses an opportunity for a good snack. Wynter is a gentle, social girl who gets along very well with her foster dog siblings and would truly benefit from having a confident companion dog of similar size/energy level in her forever home to continue helping her build confidence and learn the routines of family life. She thrives with companionship and enjoys having furry friends nearby. Because Wynter loves attention and interaction, she would do best in a more active household where she has plenty of companionship, affection, and opportunities to be involved in daily life. She does have a little stubborn streak that only adds to her charm! Wynter sometimes likes to come inside on her own schedule and can occasionally hesitate when walking through open doorways. Her forever family will need patience, understanding, and a sense of humor as she continues gaining confidence and learning that the world is a safe place. Because safety is so important for puppy mill survivors, Wynter requires a securely fenced yard where she can safely explore, relax, and enjoy her outdoor adventures. Wynter’s ideal forever home will be one filled with kindness, patience, routine, activity, and lots of affection. In return, this sweet little girl will reward her family with endless love, adorable companionship, and the joy of watching her confidence continue to blossom every day. Wynter’s adoption donation is $550. She is fully vetted including spay, microchip, dental cleaning, current vaccinations, negative heartworm test, and she is current on heartworm and flea prevention. Wynter is ready to find the forever family who will show her just how wonderful life can truly be.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.  June 14, 2026, 4:48 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Myles — a happy, lovable Maltipoo who’s ready to find his forever family! Born around March 12, 2025, Myles weighs 17.6 pounds and is full of personality. He came to us as part of a 29-dog seizure where, although the dogs were cared for, they didn’t get the individual attention and socialization they needed. Despite that, Myles has proven to be incredibly friendly and people-loving. He thrives on attention and is always excited to be around his humans. Myles would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time, as he truly enjoys companionship and being part of daily life. Myles has also been seen by an ophthalmologist and has cataracts in one eye. He is currently on special eye drops, and we are hopeful for improvement with continued treatment. He also has a playful side—he absolutely loves toys and is always up for some fun. Whether it’s a game of toss or just carrying his favorite toy around, he knows how to enjoy life. He’s currently learning how to walk on a leash and will benefit from a patient adopter who can continue helping him build confidence and skills. With his sweet nature and eagerness to connect, Myles is sure to make a wonderful companion. Myles’ adoption fee is $400. If you’re ready to welcome this charming boy into your home, you can apply at www.adoggie4you.org . This dog is currently in Texas; however, he can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, or along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Story
Meet Sammy Jo! He hasn’t had the easiest path in life, but you’d never know it by the gentle way he’s beginning to trust again. This sweet boy is slowly stepping out of his shell and showing us the loving heart that’s been there all along. He is a white 10 year old Maltese who is incredibly sweet and enjoys being petted and loved on by his people. He’s starting to show his playful side by recently wagging his tail and initiating play with one of the smaller dogs in his foster home. He is fully potty trained and has never had an accident in the house or his crate. His crate is his safe haven, a place he willingly goes to relax and feel secure. He also does well with children and enjoys calm, gentle interaction. Sammy Jo does have food aggression and will need structured feeding with clear, consistent boundaries. He must be fed separately, and his space around food needs to be respected. With routine and predictability, he does well. He also has a collapsing trachea and requires medication twice daily. His future family will need to stay committed to keeping him on his medication schedule to ensure he stays comfortable and healthy. Sammy Jo values his personal space, especially around other dogs. If dogs are constantly in his face or if food is involved, he can become overwhelmed. However, he is making steady progress and is slowly building tolerance with proper introductions. Sammy Jo will thrive in a home that believes in structure, patience, and consistency. He needs a family who understands that trust takes time and that giving him appropriate space is a form of love. In return, you’ll get a loyal companion who is learning every day that the world can be safe again. The quiet cuddles, the tail wags, the small victories. They mean everything with a dog like Sammy Jo. If you would like to give Sammy Jo the love he has always deserved, please apply at pawpatroldayton.com. Adoption fee is $160. This includes his microchip, heartworm test, up to date on vaccinations, and neuter. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.
