Story
Meet Muffy Muffy is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. She loves everyone and everything, including food and snacks, so she’ll need a family who can help her keep an eye on her waistline. She fits right in with other pets and has done great with a household of dogs, a cat, and even a busy toddler. Muffy is potty trained, crate trained, and happiest curled up in a big comfy bed or your lap. She enjoys squeaky toys, fetch, and a good game of tug-of-war. If you’re looking for a loving, easygoing companion, Muffy is ready to find a home to call her own.   She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and current with all vaccines (as appropriate for her age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Muffy is currently being fostered in South Carolina.   ADOPT MUFFY!! www.LuckyPupRescueSC.com The adoption fee is $375.00 and we require a vet check and home visit. March 7, 2026, 3:47 pm

Story
Meet Bernie.Bernie is… well… a lot of personality packed into a very small Maltese body. This little guy is bold, spicy, and absolutely convinced that he runs the world. Bernie is not the dog for someone who values a quiet, predictable life—or their fingers. He thrives on a bit of chaos and seems to take great pride in keeping everyone on their toes. That said, Bernie does have his softer moments. With people he knows and trusts, he can settle down and enjoy a good cuddle—but always on his terms. Bernie appreciates an owner who understands his independent spirit and respects his boundaries.Bernie does get along with other dogs and often enjoys their company. However, he has been known to recruit his canine friends into whatever mischief he happens to be planning that day.Because of his bold personality, Bernie would do best with an experienced dog owner who appreciates a dog with a big attitude and a sense of humor. In the right home—one that understands his quirks and lets him be his wonderfully ridiculous self—Bernie will be an entertaining and unforgettable companion. If you’re looking for a calm, predictable dog… Bernie is not your guy.But if you’re looking for a tiny whirlwind of personality, Bernie may just be the perfect matchAdoption Hours are Thursday through Sunday from noon to 5pm. You do not need an appointment to come by and meet animals during adoption hours.

Story
Milo is a 6 year-old Maltese weighing in at about 10 lbs. His owner took a job that required too much travel, so he was surrendered into rescue. This little guy will need a patient adopter willing to work with a big personality and knows how to read doggie body language! Milo can be a bit of a diva, so would need a home without young children. He walks well on a leash and should adjust to a forever home given some time and understanding that he has been through some big changes! Est. DOB is Jan. 2020 Stay tuned to this site and to our FB page for updates and more pictures as we find out more about Milo. WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required, which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. ADIOPTION FEE of $ covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap, so thank you for understanding and helping us save as many as possible. We only do adoptions on Saturday, and not all animals are able to attend. If you would like to see a specific animal, please let us know via email and we will try to accommodate. However, we cannot guarantee the animal will be at the event without an approved application. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage or our FB site to find out where we will be this week. Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.

Story
Liberty was a stray found in a local neighborhood, dirty and matted, so needed to be completely shaved. She has grown her beautiful hair back and is filling out nicely. She has been through a lot of changes so will need a family who can let her decompress on her own schedule. Liberty is about 8-9 lbs, is friendly, but will need an adopter with patience and time to earn her trust. We believe Liberty will acclimate better in a quieter, calm home with no young children, as she can be a bit of a DIVA at times if she is approached too quickly or decides she has had enough attention. She does fine with most other dogs and new people who give her some space to approach on her own. Although she won't like it much, she will need regular grooming to keep her fine fur in good shape. She is okay with being carried or on a leash and is crate-trained. We had some fun with an AI background in the first photo, but the image of her is real! Est.
