PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - PRINCE BREED - Norfolk Terrier/Maltese mix SIZE - About 18 pounds AGE - 2-3 years GENDER - Male MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Prince is a very sweet dog who is very quiet and gentle, but that's only when he is in the home with an alpha owner. He loves people and also loves other dogs his size, but he has some behavioral quirks and will need a very experienced adopter willing to work to retrain him. Prince is quite pretty, very soft and silky. He would likely be a great couch potato! We are seeking a home for him with a predictable schedule, a secure yard for play and without children or very small dogs that may compromise the success of his adoption. We will be very selective of the home and family we choose for him as his success and appropriate placement is our only focus. Prince is in great health, is fully vetted (neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and heart worm negative) and ready for adoption! Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
