Story
Brie came from North Carolina with her two puppies. Sadly, all three dogs were part of a 40+ dog hoarding case where they were severely neglected. By the time help came, Brie had lost one of her puppies leaving her with only two to raise. Now that the puppies are weaned, Brie is ready for her own story. A story that allows her to be the center of attention and doted on by her new human. She is a diva, so she very much enjoys the attention. She will co-exist with the other dogs as long as the new family understands how to properly introduce her. She is nervous around larger dogs but doesn't make a fuss. She has not been tested with cats, but if they ignore her, she will ignore them. Brie is 6-7 pounds fully grown. We believe she is Maltese/yorkie mix of some kind. She will make a wonderful pocket-sized companion if you're looking for something to keep you company. To adopt Brie, please submit an application https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/66b189c45d6f9afa2c07afb8/6986836228f7001030074db6

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. After losing her human mom, Chrissy has been in the care of her mom’s friend while she waits to find a new home. It is so hard on dogs whose families pass on—and even tougher when they are seniors. Chrissy is seven years old, spayed, a little Maltese mix, and has many pages of vet  records to accompany her to her new home. She has been around cats, dogs, and children. Chrissy does have a medical condition that might limit someone immediately swooping her up, so we will make sure we are transparent and describe that adequately.  Chrissy has an issue that causes her to “leak” urine when she is relaxed and resting (hoping I interpreted her caregiver’s description accurately.)  I don’t feel we need to describe the entire thing here, but if anyone is seriously interested in adopting, we will be happy to share what we can with an applicant. She is loved with her temporary caregiver, but Chrissy would really love to have a home all of her own again. Look for an application to adopt on our website, www.friends of Campbell County, https://www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org/info/adoption     PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at FOACinfo@gmail.com. All adoptions begin with an application, found under the "Animals" tab on our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit cats or kittens to be declawed following adoption.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 10:35 am

Story
Meet the adorable Cooper, a small bundle of love and affection! This fluffy boy is estimated to be around 5-6 years old and is as cute as can be. Cooper is a people-person's dog, always eager for a lap to curl up on and a hand to give him all the pets. Friends who come to visit him think he's so adorable. Cooper will crawl on any guest's lap and give them a kiss on their hand. He is smart as a whip, having learned the ropes of being a loving companion, and is sure to be a quick study when it comes to leash training.
