Special-Needs Maltipoo (6 years old, 11 lbs) She is a 6-year-old Maltipoo, about 11 pounds, and she is a special-needs dog who requires an experienced and patient owner. She struggles with anxiety around people and other animals, so she needs someone who truly understands fearful dogs and can provide a calm, stable environment. Despite her worries, she is a very sweet and gentle girl with a soft, loving personality. Once she feels safe, she bonds deeply and appreciates quiet affection. She would do best in a low-stress home with someone who can give her consistency, understanding, and the emotional support she needs. I want to find a home where she will be accepted exactly as she is and cared for with kindness, patience, and experience.

Did well with young child at home ***** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NOW ***** Intact female ~10 months old 11 pounds Vaccines given 12-4-25 No microchip ALT ID# 11-18-25 16 Dog has fear bitten at begining of intake, after quarantine holding, dog has become friendly with regularly known staff, walks on leash and can be carried, dog does jump up very high and out of kennels *****Animals are eligible for adoption by the public after their stray hold period. Rescues are permitted to pull NOW; animal is also legally available for euthanasia on this same date. AVAS will continue to follow the protocols in place for the health/safety of the animals in our care. The canine population currently in our care that are not showing symptoms will be posted on our website for public viewing. Canines will continue to be monitored by our medical staff under the direction of our supervising Veterinarian.
