Meet Mrs. Cashew aka Tingi!
Mrs. Cashew, lovingly called Tingi, is a 7 month old, 6-pound bundle of love with the sweetest little soul.
This petite girl may start out a little shy - she likes to take a minute to observe the world around her - but once she trusts you, you have a shadow for life. Her foster says she now follows her everywhere, watches her every move, and greets her with the happiest kisses and full-body wiggles even after just 5 minutes apart. That loyal, loving heart is what makes Cashew so special.

A Gentle Cuddle Bug: She is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to her person. Those kisses and hugs are her signature move.
Dog & Cat Friendly: Cashew would love a calm, friendly canine sibling to help show her the ropes and boost her confidence.
Brave & Bright: In just one week in foster care, she has made amazing progress. She had her first potty outside and is learning her routine quickly. She is a smart little cookie who is eager to learn.
What Cashew is looking for:
Cashew is still a puppy who is learning all about being a loved house dog. She is working on potty training, crate training, and leash walking and will need a patient adopter who will celebrate every little win with her. Leash walks are still new to her - right now she prefers to flop like a tiny starfish and soak up the yard instead!
Because she is still building confidence, she would thrive best in a calm, quiet adult home without a lot of hustle and bustle. A home with older, respectful kids (or adults only) would be perfect for her.
Cashew came out of her shell from a dog who wanted to hide, to a dog who wants to love and be loved. She isn't a "finished" dog, but she is a becoming dog - and watching her bloom is pure magic.
If you have a gentle heart, a cozy lap, and a little patience, Cashew will repay you with a lifetime of devotion.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.
Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
