Story
Coco is a 5 year old maltipoo. She is 8 pounds and up to date on everything. She loves to cuddle a little too much and very protective. She is does know how to use the bathroom outside but still use the bathroom in the house . House training has been hard and due to me having a crawling baby I can’t deal with accidents keep happening on the floor. My schedule is also busy so I don’t have much time anymore for her

Story
I adored my person, but they went into the hospital and couldn't take care of me anymore. I was sad but I know there's a person or family out there that will love me and I will adore them. I'm a happy boy with awful teeth. I had 12 removed...ouch! I'm fine with other small dogs and I'm a major cuddlier. I would walk on fire for my person. I'm an all-around wonderful gentleman. I'm potty trained and I listen well. I'm healthy and ready for that forever home!

Story
Poppy is a 7 year old Maltipoo. She is extremely friendly, loving and a total shadow. She is great with other dogs and children. She is curious about cats, squirrels and deer so I do not know how she would be with another cat. She is housebroken, up to date on shots, and rides great in the car. We love her, but due to a busy schedule— we’d love to find a home that someone works from home or is retired. She thrives off of attention and being apart of all the activities.

Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Dixie — a happy, friendly poodle mix who is ready to find her forever home alongside her best buddy, Daisy! At about a year and a half old, Dixie is affectionate, social, and loves spending time with both people and other dogs. She has a fun-loving personality and enjoys playtime just as much as cuddle time. Dixie and Daisy share a close bond and must be adopted together. Like many young dogs, Dixie is energetic and curious, and she will need a securely fenced yard where she can safely play and explore. She can be quick at open doors, so a home without small or very young children is recommended to help keep her safe. Dixie is looking for a patient, loving family ready to welcome two wonderful companions into their lives. Dixie currently weighs about 40lbs., is approximately 1 year old (est. birth date 02/19/2025), and her adoption fee is $510. Dixie has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Dixie and Daisy, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Daisy — a lovable young poodle mix with a sweet personality and a playful spirit! At about a year and a half old, Daisy is friendly, affectionate, and enjoys being close to her people. Daisy is very bonded with her best friend, Dixie, and the two must be adopted together. Because she is still young and curious, Daisy will need a home with a securely fenced yard and a family that can be mindful at doors, as she may try to slip out if given the opportunity. For that same reason, a home without small or very young children would be the best fit. If you’re looking for a sweet companion with lots of love to give, Daisy is ready to meet you — especially if you have room in your heart for her best friend too! Daisy currently weighs about 45 lbs., is approximately 1 year old (est. birth date 02/19/2025), her adoption fee is $510. Story
Time to officially meet Mrs. Cashew (aka Tingi)! 🤎 Tingi is a 1 yr old , 6-pound little girl with a very difficult past. Because of what she’s been through, she’s extremely shy and still learning that the world can be a safe place. Considering her background, the progress she’s made in just one week has been remarkable. * She has started to trust me and now follows me everywhere, watching my every move. * Every time I leave, even if it’s only for five minutes, she greets me with kisses and hugs like I’ve been gone for years. * She’s doing well meeting my other dogs and even gets along with my cats. * She’s making progress with potty training—she had her first poop outside today! 🎉 * She’s still very nervous around people, especially children. I’ve introduced her to kids of different ages, but she usually chooses to sit in the corner with her back turned to everyone. 😂 * Potty training is definitely still a work in progress. Right after celebrating her first poop outside, she came inside and decided to leave me another “blessing.” 😂 * Crate training is also something we’re working on, and she still whines often. Sometimes it’s because she wants treats, sometimes she wants attention, and sometimes… I honestly think she just enjoys keeping me guessing. * She has no idea how to walk on a leash yet. The second she feels the slightest bit of pressure, she flops onto the ground and refuses to move. She has made it very clear that she would much rather stay in the yard than go for a walk. * While she generally gets along with other dogs, she did have one growling moment with the neighbor’s Shih Tzu but he was smelling to long...so we’re continuing to work on building her confidence and positive interactions. When Tingi first came to us, all she wanted to do was hide. She squeezed herself into places I didn’t even know a dog could fit. Seeing her slowly trade fear for trust has been incredibly rewarding, even though we still have a long road ahead. She’s far from a “finished” dog, but every little step forward is a huge victory for her. I can’t wait to see who this sweet little girl grows into and whose hands she falls into❤️ Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
