Dusty is primarily an indoor dog and is accustomed to using wee-wee pads. She enjoys a quiet, predictable routine and is happiest relaxing at home with her favorite person. She was never formally trained and has had limited exposure to new environments, other dogs, and young children, so she will do best with someone who understands her background and can help her continue to build confidence. As she's gotten older, Dusty has remained incredibly affectionate with the people she knows and trusts, but she can also be sensitive and easily startled. We are rehoming Bow because we now have two young children, and her needs are no longer compatible with a household with little ones. Bow has a history of biting related to resource guarding, especially around food and when resting. Despite working with professional trainers, this behavior has persisted. As such, she must go to an adult-only home with an experienced owner who understands boundaries and resource guarding.
