Dusty is primarily an indoor dog and is accustomed to using wee-wee pads. She enjoys a quiet, predictable routine and is happiest relaxing at home with her favorite person. She was never formally trained and has had limited exposure to new environments, other dogs, and young children, so she will do best with someone who understands her background and can help her continue to build confidence. As she's gotten older, Dusty has remained incredibly affectionate with the people she knows and trusts, but she can also be sensitive and easily startled. When she feels frightened or overwhelmed, she may respond by growling, showing her teeth, or biting as a way of communicating that she needs space. Bow has a history of biting related to resource guarding, especially around food and when resting. Despite working with professional trainers, this behavior has persisted.
