Dogs will be spayed/neutered through us prior to finalizing any adoption. ********If dog/pup is showing as available it is available. Please do not email asking if it is. Submit application to meet dog if interested - yes an application is required******** Meet Benny! Benny is a 1 year old Maltese mix who weighs around 13 pounds. He is described as an energetic and sweet boy who LOVES attention. Benny is not shy about asking for your affection and enjoys singing you a song for it. He also really loves squeaky toys, playing fetch, chewing on bones and wrestling with his foster brothers. Benny is also very smart and has even learned to sit on command. Due to his energy, he would benefit from some more obedience training from his family! He is also working on potty training- he does use pee pads successfully but still experiences the occasional accident. Another opportunity for a patient family to keep helping him grow and learn. Benny is crate trained for nighttime and does great with children and other dogs! He has not lived with a cat, but he was cat tested and did great. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally we require physically fenced yard for dog/pup to play in safely. Exceptions are sometimes made to this requirement but is up to the foster and more often done for the small breed dogs. All our dogs have been treated with de-wormer; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 months or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchipped; and examined by veterinarian plus given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed at time of adoption. Dogs will be spayed/neutered thru us prior to finalizing any adoption. We provide information on dogs age and breed based on what we are told by person surrendering dog or vet's best guess. While we try our best we cannot guarantee that this information is 100% accurate and can often be best guess in case of our lovable mutts.
