Story
Biscuit is around 8 years old now. He is a very active and agile little guy. He is really good and patient with people of all ages. He loves long walks, treats, snuggles, and playing in the yard. He is a bit timid and shy with new dogs and cats, but once he is accommodated with them, he will play for a while. He has also slept in the bed with me, and loves under the covers. He doesn't bite people or objects such as shoes and furniture. He is potty trained indoors, but he pees with his leg up, so as long as there is a pee mats half up the wall. He is territorial with his pee, meaning he will pee on top of other dogs pee and new smells; thus when indoors, dog diapers are recommended. He is a very loving dog. Some things I look for in a new home for him is a family who will can take care of him everyday. Give him a life he deserves. Feed him fresh food and give him time outside as much as possible. I would love if I could visit during holiday times.

✨Meet Raindrop!✨ Raindrop is a 2-year-old Miniature Poodle mix who came into us as a surrender from a commercial breeding facility (aka Puppy Mill) in Lancaster County. Raindrop had a very difficult life before coming to us, being used as a mill mama her entire life. She is shut down at this time but is slowly starting to give us her trust. We are confident she will make a wonderful family member for a very lucky family, who understands her past and gives her the time she needs to trust them and her new surroundings. Raindrop loves other animals, and will thrive in a home with at least one other dog. Adopting a puppy mill survivor is life-changing—for you and them. For these dogs, everything is new and often overwhelming: people, houses, stairs, leashes, food bowls, collars, toys, TVs, ovens, doorways, pavement…the list goes on. They need adopters who can move slowly, be patient, keep expectations reasonable, and provide the understanding and tools they need to grow into happy, confident companions. Patience, positive reinforcement, and understanding are key! We promise there is nothing that compares to gaining the love and trust of a mill mama, but it requires intentional effort and commitment from their new family. With the right guidance, puppy mill survivors can blossom into well-socialized, joyful dog- so our goal is always to ensure every adopter is fully prepared to give them the life and environment they need to truly thrive!
