Story
Hello, this is Teddie. 12year old maltipoo. Pampered, high maintenance and well taken care of. Even though he is a senior pup he is still highly active and energetic; like the day I got him. No health issues at all but he does have separation anxiety which is common for this breed of dog. He has a past of having aggression surrounding food and also in violent environments (ex: if someone is yelling, fighting he gets aggressive) due to having an abusive past. He is a great dog he just needs lots of time, attention and care. chill guy he loves to chill at home as long as there is someone in the house with him. He gets along with most dogs if they arent interested in him if theyre energetic and want to play he may be aggressive with them bc he doesnt know how to interact with dogs in that way being the only dog in the house. I got him when I was a child but I am grown now with a busy schedule and no help to care for him. I feel bad leaving him in the house with his anxiety. Not req nuet

These pups are in Reading, Pennsylvania too!

Story
Meet Prince Hans, a 9-year-old, 9-pound Maltese with a big personality packed into a tiny body! Don’t let his age fool you—Hans is full of energy and always ready for fun and a little mischief. With his big brown eyes and charming personality, this handsome little prince knows exactly how to win people over. He’s also quite the athlete and can jump surprisingly high for such a small dog! True to his breed, Hans is the ultimate lapdog. One of his favorite places to be is curled up in a cozy ball on his foster mom’s lap. He loves gentle affection, especially kisses on the top of his head, and he quickly forms strong bonds with the people who care for him. Hans doesn’t let his past define him. When he first arrived at his foster home, he was understandably timid and anxious after spending much of his life as a breeding dog. Even so, he showed a remarkable willingness to trust. From the moment he arrived, he wanted to stay close to his foster mom and has continued to grow more confident each day. Hans walks beautifully on a leash and absolutely loves spending time outside. In fact, he’s become a bit of a neighborhood celebrity and happily greets neighbors who stop to say hello. He is curious about everything around him and enjoys exploring all the sights, sounds, and smells of the neighborhood. Because of his small size and mischievous nature, however, time outside in a fenced yard should be supervised. Hans thrives on routine. Thanks to his consistent daily schedule, he has done very well with house training in his foster home. Like many dogs, he may experience some temporary regression when adjusting to a new environment, but patience and routine will help him succeed. He does well in his crate and sleeps peacefully in it at night, though he may bark briefly when first crated during the day—he simply prefers being close to his people. Hans also gets along well with other dogs. Hans is neutered, up to date on his vaccines, microchipped, and recently had a dental procedure. He currently has no teeth but doesn’t let that slow him down one bit! His favorite toys are Nylabones, and he loves a good game of tug-of-war—just be sure to let him win. He eats kibble that is softened with a mix of low-sodium chicken broth and water. Hans has been diagnosed with myxomatous mitral valve disease (a preclinical form of heart disease) and takes Pimobendan twice daily. Aside from his heart murmur, he shows no symptoms and still has plenty of energy and zest for life. As a Maltese, Hans will also need regular grooming and brushing to keep his soft coat healthy. The most important requirement for adopting Hans is being ready to welcome plenty of fun, laughter, cuddles, and a little bit of mischief into your life. If you’re looking for a charming, affectionate companion with lots of personality, Prince Hans may be the perfect addition to your family. Hans is currently being fostered in Mechanicsburg. www.zoeshouserescue.com Kennel license: 9117 PO box 2372 Reading, PA 19608

Story
Meet CeCe, the best friend you’ve been searching for! At just 4 years old, this sweet girl has already been through so much. When she first came to her foster home, she was frail and terrified, trembling at the slightest sound or gesture. It took time for her to adjust; she dealt with anxiety, refusing to walk on a leash and barely eating or sleeping. But here’s the beautiful part of CeCe’s story: with love and patience, she has blossomed! These days, she struts confidently on a leash, loves to play with her toys, and has found a joyful bounce in her step. Her tail hasn’t stopped wagging—it's a testament to the trust and affection she’s discovered in her new life. CeCe thrives with another dog and is specifically looking for a home that has a furry friend to show her the ropes! Though she may not be a fan of her crate, she tolerates it at night and for when you need to run errands. She would ideally have a family member who works from home or is retired. CeCe is a gentle soul, eager to share her love with a family that truly understands her. Her soft fluffy coat makes her a delightful cuddle buddy, and her beautiful personality shines brighter every day, she does require regular grooming. Things to consider if you apply for the position of CeCe’s new bestie….she will need a very secured, fenced in outdoor space and patience with leash walks. She will have some anxiety in a new environment and will need space to decompress again. She is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and her potty training is going well as long as she keeps to a routine. If you’re looking for a loyal friend, CeCe is ready to bring joy into your home! Story
Meet Eloise, a 3-year-old, 12-pound mini poodle with a gentle heart and a love for being close to her person. After retiring from breeding life, she’s learning what it truly means to be part of a family—and she’s ready for a calm, patient home to help her continue that journey. Eloise can be a little timid at first, but once she feels safe, her sweet and affectionate personality really shines. She loves to follow her person around, curl up nearby, and never says no to a good meal (food is definitely one of her love languages!). She’s potty trained (although regression could occur), walks beautifully on a leash, and enjoys car rides and strolls around the neighborhood. Eloise does best in a quiet home with older kids (12+) and people who are home often, as she thrives on companionship. Eloise sleeps well in her crate at night but prefers free roam during the day—and she does great with it! A fenced yard is a must , as she will try to slip out an open door. To keep Eloise looking fabulous, she will require grooming every six weeks. She is still adjusting to grooming and will need a patient adopter to help her feel comfortable. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow with a soft heart and a sassy streak, Eloise might just be your girl. Eloise is spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped. She is currently being fostered in Southern Lancaster County. Interested adopters and meet and greets would occur at her foster families home. Applications for Eloise can be submitted at www.zoeshouserescue.com. Zoe’s House, Inc Kennel #9117 PO Box 2372 Reading PA 19608
