This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Annabeth is a very energetic young puppy who was found abandoned in a ditch by a highway. Despite her difficult beginnings, she is a truly happy and resilient girl who is well-integrated into her busy foster home. She is a social butterfly who loves adults, children and other dogs, and she charms everyone she meets. She is living with a cat in her current foster home, but they are being kept separate for now, gate greeting has been going well. She is very intelligent, and food motivated! She is a great pup for training classes. She loves to play bitey-mouth with her canine friends, and barks joyfully the whole time. She adores toys of all kinds. She is playful and always ready to go, but she is able to settle down and enjoy cuddling once her exercise needs are met. She also loves napping on the nearest couch or bed. Annabeth is still a baby but has done very well with both house and crate training! . She can be a bit anxious in the car and has a history of some car sickness. We believe that Annabeth will thrive in a home with a predictable routine and structure. We recommend obedience training for all of our dogs, especially puppies, because you can both learn fun things to do together and the puppy gains confidence and control. It's also fun! Annabeth is an extremely affectionate and entertaining puppy who will steal your heart--and never give it back! An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: www.sosarl.org/aa/ **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor. May 5, 2024, 5:32 pm
