Story
Jimmy Chew, previously Tom, was adopted from us as a tiny puppy and returned now due to changes in the condo pet policy. Here is what the previous owner wrote: His personality is very playful and when he's done playing w his toys, he'll wanna cuddle up and go to sleep against your legs. He's not a barker and i'd say he's 99% -100% potty trained considering he hasn't had any accidents in my apt in the last month. He understands the commands "sit and "no and loves "good boy! hahah. I feed him everyday at 9am and 5pm (1 cup of dry food and I mix some wet food in as well). He grew up in nyc so he's very unbothered by noises and loves meeting new people on our walks. He loves people and other dogs, as he has many friends at the dog park. in all he really is the perfect dog Apply for Jimmy at allpawsondeck.org He now looks like a Rat Terrier mix and he is 30lbs Apply for Tom at allpawsondeck.org Must be 21+ to adopt $600 Adoption Fee; $100 spay/neuter deposit Located in Griswold, CT To adopt you must - Fill out an application at allpawsondeck.org - all your pets must be spayed / neutered and up to date - We can't adopt to MA residents due to State Laws. Story
To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application        HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see        HERE Age: 2 years (as of 3/5/24) Weight: 17 pounds (as of 3/14/24) Location: RI    This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Nerf is Miniature Pinscher mix who was found as a stray. She is a sweet girl that is looking for a forever home. Nerf can be shy and timid with new people, dogs, places and experiences but give her some time and she will warm up.  A potential adopter will need to keep this in mind and go slow, work on socialization, give her plenty of exercise, and provide training and structure as she transitions to life in a forever home.  She would do best in a low-key household without much foot traffic, no young children, and lots of patience and treats! She needs an adopter who is committed to keeping her world small until she starts to settle in. The adopter should plan to limit visitors to his home, leave the dog at home (crated – not loose!) rather than taking her to parties, soccer games, dog parks, etc, and focus on building a bond through structure and moderate obedience training. She enjoys lap time, but also has fun playing with toys. She has met cats and was a little overbearing at first but was mostly just playful.. She is quiet and clean in her crate for up to six hours, and she appears to be fully housebroken. For the most part, she walks calmly on a loose leash but can be hesitant in new situations. Sometimes, while riding in the car, she gets a kick out of barking at people who pass by. Nerf is making great progress, but we recommend obedience training for all of our dogs, because you can learn the commands together, and it helps the dog gain confidence and learn to socialize. It's also fun! Nerf is always affectionate and eager to please, and we think she will be an entertaining companion to anyone who is fortunate enough to bring her home! An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see      HERE      for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:    www.sosarl.org/aa/ *  *Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor. April 23, 2024, 5:41 pm

Story
My stepdaughter got Rocky and was going to take him with her. However, she later decided she was not going to have time to take care of Rocky and left him with me. I already have a dog and a cat and can’t take care of another dog. Rocky is a 2 year old miniature pinscher that weights 20 lbs. I believe he might be mixed with Manchester terrier but his paper work only says miniature pinscher. Rocky is very sweet and energetic. He has gotten along great with both my dog and cat. He loves to be walked. Rocky will bark when he needs to go outside to do his business.

Story
In September 2023, we adopted Harlie from a shelter in Myrtle Beach. She didn’t make a peep on the entire 15 hour car ride home. She was amazing. She sat on a blanket in the backseat and was so good. When we brought her home to meet our three other dogs everything went well. After several months, she got into an altercation with our mini Daschund. It seemed to be an isolated incident and then it happened again a few months later. And then it happened two more times. She has had no altercations with our other two dogs. Harley is affectionate, loving and fun. She is a really great dog. She would be perfect for a family that has no other pets.

Story
Demon came with the name, but he definitely could use a new, more fitting one in his new forever home! He is about 3 to 5yrs old and has some vision impairments. He is a love bug and loves to be with his people once he gets to know you. Demon is quirky and will need someone patient and experienced with "little dog syndrome". He is good with other dogs. No children. If you would like to meet him, please fill out an application on our website and an officer will be in touch! www.naugatuckanimalcontrol.com
