Cleo did not expect to spend her golden years in a shelter environment. Her former owner passed away and Milo was able to step in and give her the second chance she so deserves. Cleo is a sweet and cuddly Manx mix senior cat looking for a quiet home. She moves a little slow due to arthritis in her hips which causes some mobility issues with her back legs, but she's already getting stronger in foster care, can walk up and down stairs, and can jump on an ottoman without assistance. Cleo is 11.6 pounds and could probably benefit from losing a couple pounds. Cleo's foster dad says she is a total sweetheart. Cleo loves being pet and is also happy to carry on a conversation, but she's not overly vocal. If you read up on Manx cats, Cleo has a lot of Manx traits and definitely has the looks of a Manx. We don't know how she is with other cats, but Manx cats tend to be great with other cats...and even cat friendly dogs. Cleo would be happiest in a quiet adult home. She will be an excellent companion who only wants to feel loved and cared for and will give you so much in return. Cleo's foster says it best... "If you adopt Cleo, you'll gain more than a cat. You'll welcome a loyal friend who appreciates the simple joys - a sunbeam, a gentle touch, and the quietude of shared moments." She is a beautiful Manx girl and was the smallest and shyest of her litter. But we are happy to report she has turned the corner and has blossomed into a more trusting girl. She was recently introduced to one of our newer rescues named Billie and well let's just say he has brought out the best in her. If you are looking for a dynamic duo to adopt together, please read his profile too. We think she will still need a little time to warm up to her humans in a new environment, but we know gaining her trust will be worth it, as she has a quiet charm about her, and the right home will continue to help her blossom. If you have another kitty that you are looking for a friend for, please consider Maple as she would be a great companion for a resident cat. Since becoming more confident the past month she has found her purr machine, and it has been going nonstop now. She is such a cutie pie, and we know her forever home will see her post and know they need to give this sweet girl a chance.
