Meet bad bunny Benito! Benito’s finder passed by him on the streets of North Philly on her commute. Benito stood out with his big husky neck and cheeks and his poofy bunny tail. The second time she saw him, she took him with her with the intention of TNR (trap, neuter, return). However, when she got him home, she realized he was sweet and fun and tried to see if any rescues would take him first. She then became concerned because while he used the litter box, he also leaked pee. She was also concerned that his belly looked swollen. She got attached and decided to offer to foster him while continuing to seek rescue placement. Familiar Hearts, thankfully, agreed to take him on. Nothing was found to contribute to his urinary incontinence. It was believed to be a side effective of his different body, born without a tail, or Manx syndrome. Benito absolutely loves being scratched, pet, and brushed along his head and back. He’s particular about his feet, belly, and hind end being touched. He has a fun and sweet personality. He’s built like a football player and loves chasing after toys flying through the air. He’s also down to chill and lay against you. He loves showing his affection through trills and headbutts. He’ll also let you know he wants something with his meows. He occasionally tries to lightly nip, sometimes if you try to leave, as affection, or when overstimulated. But he’s never hurt his foster or broken skin. Benito is ready to find his special people out there. We cannot guarantee that your cat or kitten will be completely worm/parasite free at adoption. We do not declaw our kitties and do not allow adopters to declaw them. We require our kitties to live indoor lives.
