Fiona came into rescue after we called about a very emissated very sick cat in Section 8 housing. She had a severe upper respiratory infection that took a very long time to clear up. We had to go very slowly refeeding her because she was so emiciated at only weighing 2 lb being a 3 year old adult cat. Fiona made a full recovery and was able to be spayed and is a 3-year-old adult with a great personality. Her only fault is that she does not like to use the litter box. So she probably would do best in a barn or being an indoor outdoor cat. She would need a 2 week acclimation period where she would not be let out so that she could know where her new home is. She is a loving cat, but does not like to be picked up. She was chased by children in Section 8 housing. She hss done well with cats in my house and dogs that are very calm. She is fully vaccinated, tested negative for FIV and leukemia, dewormed and flea meds.

This beautiful manx (no tail), incredibly soft little guy is ready for his forever home! He needs a patient adopter who doesn’t expect instant cuddles, as he is just starting his journey of trusting and feeling safe. Melvin may not be a lap cat (yet!), but he’s a curious little guy who peeks around corners to see what you’re up to and talks when he’s needing some company. While he is still learning to trust, Melvin will need a compassionate, patient human to show him not all people are scary and can give him all the love. This handsome fella has made big strides already and would thrive in a quiet, calm home with someone who understands the beauty of going slow. Melvin appreciates the company of other felines and may thrive best with other welcoming cats. Once in your arms, he will melt into you and the purrs begin.
