Story
Tamanga is certainly one of a kind with her natural half tail that stands straight up. She is sassy and secure with herself yet has a very sweet side. Vocal and physically affectionate when seeking attention this girl will bulldozer any other cats in her way. She knows what she wants .. and when she wants it ...she has no problem being dominate. Tamanga enjoys being rambunctious and cutting up with her foster siblings, anything with a string, manuevering herself to the highest point of the cat tree while meowing for attention and finding new ways to manipulate her foster mom for wet food treats. Tamanga has a true manx personality also described as social and gregarious cat, and very attached to humans, but also shy of strangers. The breed is said to be highly intelligent, playful, and in its behaviour reminiscent of dogs. ##1666711##

Story
UPDATE 4/20/24: Since we always try to be fully transparent with our medical/special needs info, we want to post an update. Cane was recently returned from a foster-to-adopt situation due to inappropriate urination. We had been working closely with the foster to ensure all health & behavior factors were being addressed, and ultimately it was not feasible for the family with a new baby to meet his needs. We believe the family did their best for him and we're happy to adopt a less challenging kitty to them, but it wasn't working out for Cane. (We fully believe this is because of Cane's shortcomings, NOT the family's!) Because of his urinary issues (which we are still continuing to investigate at this time with guidance from our Vet Team), we are looking for a home for him that understands he may need extra support with the litterbox. This includes VERY frequent box changes, multiple box options, & possibly frequent baths as he sometimes dribbles urine on his back end. He has been seen multiple times by a few of our vets to ensure he does not have bladder stones, blockages, UTI's, Incontinence, or other complications. He has been on prescription urinary food & absolutely LOVES getting his dose of Lactulose (stool softener) to ensure he does not become constipated (common for Manx Syndrome kitties). (He will literally chase you around so you will NOT forget his meds!) :) Now the good news: He hops like a bunny (hence the name Thumper) in an adorable cute way! This is common for Manx kitties due to minor deformities in their back ends. He is not in any pain and it does NOT slow him down in any way, he can run, jump, climb, bunny kick, & wrestle with the most athletic kitties without issues! It's just an adorable quirk of his. He LOVES other animals! He would love to have especially a cat friendly kitty playmate! He does well with young children! He is a very friendly, very social, very sweet little guy! He just needs an understanding & patient adopter willing to help him with his potty issues, but he's so deserving of a good home we really want to find him a great fit asap! ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Cane is a grey tabby short haired Manx boy and he is looking for love! He was pulled from our local shelter since the Manx breed often requires special care. Interested adopters should read up on Manx Syndrome. Cane has previously had a minor surgical procedure to remove an ear polyp, but has healed up well and had no problems since. This is a somewhat common condition for cats and when found and treated early is no big deal. (A great example of why annual wellness visits are important, this was discovered by a vet assistant foster because she knew what to look for!) Cane would do well with another cat as he has lived with his other kitten friends in foster, and has had interactions with the foster's dog, so Cane would learn to do great with cat-friendly dog since he's so young! Cane is neutered, FVRCP & Rabies vaccinated for his age, microchipped, and dewormed. Cane's birthday is approximately 6/13/23. He is currently available, submit a quick adoption application to meet this sweetheart! Adoption Fee is $120 For quickest response, fill out an application today: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PPAR/Cat
