Location: Baltimore, MD Adoption Fee Covered! Thanks to a generous supporter, this pet's adoption fee is fully covered! About Penne: Penne is a one-of-a-kind beauty - a classic Manx with no tail, soulful eyes, and striking features that make her unforgettable. After lovingly raising her kittens, Penne is finally ready for a chapter of her own. Since her kittens have been adopted, she’s been slowly blossoming into the cat she was always meant to be -curious, open-hearted, and eager for peace, comfort, and love. Though initially shy, Penne is making steady strides. Her softer side emerges more each day -she enjoys gentle pets, leans in for affection, and especially loves being brushed. That simple routine brings her visible comfort, helping to melt away the cautious walls she built as a devoted mom. She’ll thrive in a calm, patient home with someone who understands the quiet reward of earning a cat’s trust. If you're someone who finds joy in helping a cat truly feel safe and loved, Penne will be your quiet, graceful companion - just waiting to bloom. Personality: - Gentle and observant - Shy at first but growing more social - Affectionate once comfortable - Loves brushing and gentle attention - Blossoming beautifully after motherhood Veterinary Care Before Adoption: - Microchipped - Flea Tick Preventative - Dewormer - FVRCP vaccine - Rabies Vaccine - Spayed

Not good with kids,
Story
Hi! I’m Bob, a 4 year old Manx cat. That means I have legs that give me an adorable wiggle when I walk, and I have no tail. I love to stay with my human. I’ll follow you around the house and sit right next to you, or on you, when we watch tv. I’m an expert at rolling over and showing you my tummy. I’m very sweet.

Good with cats, House-trained,
Story
Mira is a  beautiful bobtail. She is bonded with Micah and needs him as he is her friend and protector. They must be adopted together. Her estimated DOB is 3/18/2022.  After their owner died, they were left abandoned for almost 10 months, which explains why they are showing some fear as they relearn to trust.  When the new owner bought the house, he immediately contacted us.   We think they would settle down quickly with a new family. They were family pets, but have been through a lot.   They are both delighted to accept treats, even from your hand, and they love playing together, especially in the cat tunnel which makes crinkly noises they seem to love. Micah accepts petting now, but Mira is still wary. They've been with us a long time and have made good progress and now they are ready to enjoy a loving home where they can really relax and blossom!   We want to make adopting easy for you! Here’s our application:   https://form.jotform.com/232837730565159  Once you complete it, we’re on it! We’ll call your vet (or personal reference) the next business day. Then we like to do a brief video chat (FaceTime if you have it) so you can show us your new pet’s home - where they’ll sleep, eat, and play. During our chat, we can also give you tips or answer questions about how to successfully integrate your new family member into your household, especially if you have other pets. Our adoption fee is $150 and covers our costs of spay/neuter, vaccinations, vet exam, and supplies. (Once old enough, all our cats are current on their shots and have been spayed/neutered.) We’re a strictly no-kill shelter just for cats. We’re cage-free, donation-based, and volunteer-powered. We’re small but special and we’re glad you found us! For more info don’t hesitate to call or text us at 540-987-6050 or email us at adopt@rappcats.org. August 16, 2025, 10:55 pm
