Every superhero has an origin story, and Walker's is one of loyalty. He doesn't hand out his trust to everyone he meets—instead, he chooses his people carefully. Strangers, especially those entering what he considers his territory, make him understandably cautious. That's why, when you come to meet him, we'll skip the awkward first encounter at the gate and instead take him for a walk. Once you're side by side, Walker has the chance to realize you're not the villain—you might just be the teammate he's been waiting for.

Walker has spent time around other dogs, but like many powerful heroes, he has a strong personality and can be dominant. We recommend a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs to make sure everyone can work together as the ultimate team.

Walker has been around livestock, but he found the sheep a little too exciting and enjoyed chasing them. Because of that, he'd do best in a home without livestock, or with someone experienced in training and managing livestock guardian breeds who understands their instincts and how to channel them appropriately.
