Hi, I'm Sly. I made my way to Wisconsin on a transport from Tennessee, and I'm settling in one gentle step at a time! I'm a sweet, somewhat timid guy who really shines when things are calm and quiet. I walk pretty nicely on leash and enjoy getting out for strolls, though I'm still building my confidence and would love a patient human to help me along the way. Once I feel safe, I open up quickly and show just how loving and affectionate I can be. I'd do best with respectful kiddos who understand that I might need a little time to warm up, and I'd be thrilled to have a doggy sibling - having a canine friend helps me feel more comfortable and brings out my playful side! If you're looking for a gentle companion who just needs reassurance, kindness, and a cozy place to land, I think we might be a really great match! Hi, I'm Mouse - a quiet, gentle girl who's learning what it means to feel safe and loved. I came from a hoarding situation in Texas, where I likely lived outside with very little human interaction. Life was pretty scary and uncertain back then, but since arriving here, I've started to discover that people can be kind and that it feels nice to be cared for. I'm still a timid soul and can be unsure in new situations, but I'm slowly gaining confidence every day. I don't usually come running up for attention just yet, but if you move slowly and speak softly, I'll gladly accept gentle pets and reassurance. I feel safest when things are calm and quiet, and I'm especially comforted by calm voices and patient people. I'm still learning how to walk on a leash, and I'm not quite interested in toys or treats right now - I'm taking things one step at a time. I'd do best in a peaceful home with respectful children who understand that I need a little extra patience. I might also do well with another calm, confident dog who can show me the ropes and help me feel more secure. If you have a soft spot for shy dogs and the patience to help me bloom, I know I'll reward you with quiet loyalty and a gentle heart.
