Please apply for me at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HFAH/Dog (403644-DS) **Meet and greets for approved applicants must happen within 3 days or the closest weekend (for long travelers). It’s in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely fashion. All household members must attend the meet and greet. Attica adores people, she also likes to lean into her people for all the love. She’s super gentle at taking a treat! She likes her peanut butter filled kong and will crunch up a pigs ear in a jiffy, but will pass on a rawhide chew. Although Attica is 62 lbs, she could easily gain another 10+ pounds to fill out a bit. She really likes to be outside, so she may fool you that she needs to go potty when she really wants to go out & sniff around. (Hence I ignored the standing by the door & we had an accident – that’s on me!) Attica has been in rescue for a very long time before making her way to Wisconsin, she’s very excited to find a family of her own to love and to learn how to “dog”. She really wants to hang out and be a part of the family but is still working on being able to relax enough to be able to lay down and sleep when not in the kennel. She’s making great strides and I have no doubt she’ll make a great “lap dog” soon!

Story
Hi, I'm Prince. I'm a kind and gentle big beautiful boy. My vet records have me as being a Great Pyrenees, yep that's true, I have a beautiful white coat with a tad buff color and the double dew claws on the hind paws. If I have another mix in me it would be thought to be a Retriever. I don't know my name but I understand why I'm called Prince, everywhere I go I get compliments as to how handsome I am. I am the most gentle giant and would be considered on the smaller size if I'm a full bred Great Pyrenees. I enjoy all dogs even little ones. At only one year of age, I've either had some training or am pretty smart! Am poddy trained and listen good. Unsure if i had been on a leash until coming here, it doesn't bother me but I walk a bit zig zaggy on it. Once I learned the leash meant I got to go for a walk I really impressed my foster mom by walking over to the leash tossing it up with my nose and bringing it over in my mouth. Yeah, I know I'm cute and smart. If it weren't for the lock on the screen door I bet I could open a door handle latch with my nose and let myself out too. I showed my foster mom that but she was right there and keeps it locked. The first day I was timid and on my best behavior. I know not to jump up on people, tried to test it by slowly starting too but listened very well to that's a no-no. Can't be doing that for my size. I know it but hey, a boy can edge toward testing a boundary....can't he? I understand no means no. People kneel by me and that's when we hug and I give the best hugs. I didn't know sit until I copied my foster brother dog and now I am perfect at sitting as we each get a treat for it. The family gave me a large dog bed to lay on but I prefer either the smal bed And can actually make myself fit in it but my favorite is the hardwood floor, maybe because it's cool and I have a lot of fur that keeps me warm. I love the dog park!! It's so fun to run and play. I'd be the best family dog for someone looking for a big lovable dog and who has a large yard ideally fenced as I do like the outdoors. I'm not sure if I'd be the best watch dog because I hardly bark! So unless I pick that bad habit up from the foster brother dog here I'm quiet! Im being fostered in Chippewa Falls, WI My adoption fee is $350 and $100 neuter fee would be credited back. Up to date on vaccinations.
