He loves getting out for walks and enjoys the chance to jog around the park, stretching his legs and taking in the world by your side. Despite his size, Ulysses has a sweet, playful spirit and a soft spot for the simple things in life … like rolling over for belly rubs or happily flopping into the grass for a good roll. Ulysses is the kind of dog who brings both companionship and joy, whether you’re out on an adventure or just relaxing together. He is all set to be someone’s loyal best friend and constant sidekick. So if you’ve been looking for a big-hearted companion with an even bigger personality, Ulysses might be the one for you. Come meet him and see if this handsome boy is the missing piece your home has been waiting for. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.March 18, 2026, 1:32 pm

Meet Aspen!! 🌳 she is about 6 years old. she loves kids but she is a pretty large dog so older kids would be best. she had an older and younger dog companion she would play with but has also shown disinterest in playing with other dogs, especially if not introduced properly. she does not get along with cats as her prey drive kicks in since she was an outside dog before we had her. she doesn’t necessarily need a huge yard, just someone who will keep her company. she’s a huge cuddle bug BUT WATCH OUT she also sees you as part of the furniture! she’s a big girl but she’s very sweet and playful. she just needs a home that can match her energy. and a big bed. also, she is allergic to chicken. trust us on this one. p.s. she snores
