Story
Hi, I'm Suzy Q! I'm the smallest of the litter, but I make sure everyone knows I'm here. My eyes are open, I'm already toddling around, and I've recently discovered something incredible... baby barks! I'm the most active of my siblings and can't wait to see what adventures are waiting for me. I am the last of my litter to be adopted but that doesnt mean anything is wrong with me at all! We do not see Adopt-a-Pet inquiries! Please visit our website www.grandrivershumane.org to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our upcoming adoption event locations.

Story
Hi, I'm Valerie! I come with my very own built-in security system, and let me tell you, it works wonderfully. I'm naturally observant and keep a close eye on what's happening around me. If something unusual is going on outside, I'll make sure my family knows about itbut I'm not constantly barking just to hear myself talk. Once I've determined everything is fine, I'm perfectly happy to come back inside and curl up for a nap with my people. I'm a smart girl who really wants to please my humans, and I'm working on a few things like meeting strangers and remembering that leash walks don't require me to pull toward every interesting thing. I'm crate trained, know how to use a doggy door, and enjoy going out for trails and adventures with my family. I do well with other dogs with proper introductions, and I'm also okay with catssometimes I even seem to think I'm one! If you're looking for a loyal, intelligent companion who can go from trail buddy to professional cuddler, I'm ready to be part of your family. We do not see Adopt-a-Pet inquiries! Story
Hi friends! I'm Gemma! I am the biggest lover of all humans!! I love greeting new people and getting pets and hugs all over. I would do well with kids unless they are very small then I may accidentally knock them over. I want to be your constant companion - I am very loyal and love to be around my people. I promise to always greet you with a big smile on my face and ready to give you love! I pull on the leash when we first start on a walk (or if I want to go sniff something) but after a few minutes then I walk well on leash! I am not high-energy. I would like 1-2 short walks per day or to just sniff and run around in your yard. Otherwise I would like to lay down and relax with you. I came to Animal Services in pretty rough shape with very infected eyes and an injury to my left eye. The infections have cleared up and my left eye is healing great! Sometimes I get itchy but we are working on fixing that. It's something that's common with my breed. I like to be queen bee and for this reason, GRHS thinks I would do best as the only dog in the home to get all the love from my people. I do ok at adoption events around lots of dogs once I've settled in, and I do sometimes pull towards other dogs on walks when I pass them. I do not want to be in a furever home with cats. They look a lot like toys and sometimes I can get a little too excited when I see them! Apply to adopt me today!! We do not see Adopt-a-Pet inquiries!
