Story
Meet MaeMae- the short-haired, tan, Scooby-Doo lookalike who’s basically a giant, gentle hug. Large unknown breed, loves kids, loves people, loves other dogs too. House-trained, kennel-trained, spayed, microchipped, shots all current—done deal!
She might duck her head shy at first, but trust, once she’s comfy? Total goofball.
Come on, who’s ready for endless cuddles? I rescued her from an animal shelter and we were her first home. She’s just over a year old now. Unfortunately and unexpected, my daughter’s health condition have become my full plate. I’m looking for a wonderful family to take her.

Story
Mama Heather is a resilient, gentle giant who has truly earned her retirement. Found giving birth in the freezing cold, Heather endured the unimaginable to protect her nine puppies. Despite the loss of four babies and one survivor’s struggle with frostbite, a kind neighbor intervened to bring Heather into the warmth of rescue. Since then, she has traded the elements for a deep love of couches and her people. Now that all her babies have found their forever homes, it is finally Heather’s turn to be cherished. She is a sweet, slightly goofy Mastiff mix with expressive eyes and a heart of gold. Heather is incredibly people-focused and will often offer you a gentle paw when she wants attention. She even has a silly habit of "collecting" shoes to keep near her while she naps. This kind, patient soul is looking for a family with plenty of room to stretch out and even more love to give. After everything she’s been through, Mama Heather is ready to be the center of someone’s world. Currently in a foster home in Chattanooga, TN, and available for transport to a number of locations within the continental United States. Please note: We are unable to adopt to residents of Massachusetts at this time. To apply, complete our official adoption application at yourlocalfurmama.com/adoption-application. Petfinder inquiries are not considered applications. Once your application is received, a member of our Adoptions Team will contact you within 2–3 business days.

I can be a bit dog selective and that's okay, it just means I'm particular about my friends! NO SMALL BREED DOG! I am not too crazy about the smaller breed dogs. Think I'm cute and want to meet with me, bring your current pup for a meet and greet to see if we get along! NO CATS! I never learned to make friends with cats, so long as you have a feline free environment, I'll be the best addition to your home. Want to be my new family? Come by the shelter and see me any time Tuesday- Saturday from 12pm-5pm, no appointment needed! I am bonded to Apollo, my brother. We have been together our whole lives, and I can't imagine life without my brother. We must go home together, and our adoption fee includes the both of us! I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment. I get easily frustrated and can exhibit this in a variety of ways. I will need positive outlets for my energy, and a calm environment. I am a sensitive and shy pup! - I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to go home to a calm environment. What my friends of SPCA of Bradley County say about me:"Zeus is a sweet boy. He is very anxious in this environment, and I would need someone who can be very patient with my brother and myself. He does not do well without his brother by his side, so they are a bonded pair. He is such a good boy though. Both Zues and his brother will need plenty of room to express themselves, and a patient soul to let them be themselves. Would you like to open your heart and home to these lovely brothers? As always, introductions to existing family members should be done slowly and over time. Our adoptions team will give you suggestions on how to introduce your new family member! Visit anytime! The Adoption Center is open Tuesday-Saturday from 12pm-5pm.
