This stunning pup is Barney! He arrived at the shelter as a lost boy on 5/7, and no one has come to reclaim him. The volunteers describe Barney as extremely sweet and well-behaved. He already knows several commands including sit, down, and stay. He pulls while walking on leash, but that is probably due to his age and only getting out once a day in the shelter environment. Barney is still quite young so please ensure you have the time, patience, and energy to commit to him before adopting. Barney is approximately 8 months old and weighs 65 lbs. He will most likely be a large-sized dog when fully grown. Barney is UTD on vaccines and did test negative for heartworms. He will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. This beautiful lady is Mia! She's even more beautiful now because her cherry eye has been fixed. She ended up at the shelter on 4/23 because her owner was arrested. The volunteers describe her as a gentle giant; she couldn't be any sweeter! Mia walks nicely on leash and she's attentive to people. Mia does have a cherry eye that will need to be assessed by a veterinarian, but they are typically an easy surgical fix.
