Doug 4.5yr Shep/Mastiff mix Male. $200 plus tax, 75lbs. Very sweet boy! Absolutely adores toys of any kind. Bit food picky, he says he just wants the good stuff! New to the shelter, prior was around other dogs but we would like a meet and greet just to make sure everyone gets along! Currently in a play group with a smaller female dog and absolutely loves her. Unk with kids. Met a few cats and seemed more scared of them than they were of him! Adoption fee is $200 plus tax. We do our very best in providing truthful information about our adoptable dogs. If you do not see information about one of our dogs’ personalities, it is because we do not know much about them yet. We do appreciate a dog meet and greet to see if the dogs are compatible, an appointment is helpful but not required. We can complete a cat introduction at the shelter in a safe manner to get a sense of the dog’s behavior towards cats. With that knowledge, we will provide a blanket statement that you are ultimately responsible for keeping your cat safe. We recommend crate training for all our dogs while they adjust to a new home environment. Please bring along your family to meet the dog you’re looking at to see that it is a good fit. Also bring landlord permission for adopting a dog which includes any breed or weight restrictions.

Meet Zeus – Your Gentle Giant 💙 Zeus is a handsome, extra-large Mastiff mix (possibly with some wirehair flair!) who’s patiently waiting to find his forever home. Weighing in at a big 96 lbs, Zeus may look imposing, but he’s truly a gentle giant with a soft heart and a happy-go-lucky personality that shines once he feels comfortable. Zeus is a sweetheart who loves his people, enjoys going for nice walks, and is always up for snuggling with his favorite humans. He can be a bit shy around men at first, as shared by his previous owner, but with patience and kindness he warms up and shows just how loving he really is. He has a great training foundation and is eager to please. Zeus knows sit, down, and come, is kennel trained, and house trained. Staff say he is well-mannered and has a great start with obedience, though he’s still learning his size and may jump occasionally. Continued training and positive reinforcement will help him keep growing into the polite gentleman we know he can be. Zeus does have a sensitive stomach, so a special diet is a must to keep his tummy happy. He is also a chewer, so providing appropriate chew toys will be important to help him stay entertained and make good choices. He gets along well with other dogs, while his compatibility with cats is currently unknown. 📅 Please note: Zeus will not be available for adoption until after 01/28/26, but he is worth the wait! If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big heart, a playful spirit, and lots of love to give, Zeus could be the perfect addition to your family. 🐾
