You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ***Foster Home Needed*** Pixie is a 9.5 year old, female Mastiff/Lab mix (from a breeder orginally). Through family loss and transition Pixie is finding herself in need of a new home. We are seeking a foster home for her, and of course an adoptive home. Pixie is a large girl, about 110 lbs, and is about 9.5 years old, so she is more on the mellow side and although loves her walks, is not physically demanding. Pixie has lived with other dogs and has been with other dogs in a kennel situation, etc. She does need managed intros to new people coming into the home as she does have some guardian instincts, but she will usually just bark at strangers, she has never bitten anyone. Pixie is looking for a chill home where she can enjoy her senior years, with comfort, and dignity. She was used to a stay at home person for many years and would love that, but is fine in the house by herself. She has excellent manners in the house. Ralph the Derp! Ralph is a huge friendly, enthusiastic, uncoordinated 4-legged energetic goofball! He was rescued from “death row” at a high kill shelter, as a skinny stray with a treatable skin condition. His fur has almost completely grown in & he is now at a healthy weight. This overgrown mastiff/Cane Corso mix pup has no comprehension of his size, leaning into humans for affection or trying to ooze onto laps for cuddles. He is being trained not to jump and not to paw for attention/affection/play because he currently has 85# of mass behind those “congenial” moves. Ralph plays well with dogs of all sizes, but would do best with med-to-larger dogs due to his size & poorly curbed gusto. He hordes toys, taking them all to his chosen dog bed of the day. He likes to carry a special toy “baby” in his mouth when going out in the yard. He does need to be fed in his crate & will guard his empty food bowl from other dogs, unless he is distracted with a toy & led outdoors after meals. He is great on a leash, makes awesome grunty sounds when cuddled, enjoys baths. Ralph will make a great addition to an active family with older children. He is eager to please, food and affection oriented (although a bit stubborn at times), making him an ideal candidate for success with continuation of his training. Please consider adopting the gorgeous big derp into your home. Very sweet girl who needs someone to help her overcome fear of strangers, she especially loves cats. Walking, leash trained, never had potty accident since puppy, kennel trained, sleeps in kennels never barks about that, her owner (family) is autistic and just can’t seem to give her the attention she needs. We already have 2 dogs, 3 cats, its hard because we have family over frequently especially my 80 yr old Mom and young kids. She is kenneled due to her barking at strangers, her and owned recently moved in with us due to her owners health declining.

Pezz is the absolute definition of puppy dog eyes, what a heart-melter! He is on his way to find a loving family where he can truly blossom into the intelligent, fun, affectionate companion that he's sure to become. He will vocalize a bit while in the kennel, is mostly potty trained, and likes other dogs. He is little, so will need safe introductions to all the new things he will encounter in the world. Pezz would appreciate another dog in the home that he can look to for guidance as he grows more accustomed to life in a home! He can be a little cautious at first so patience and taking it slow will be important for him. Pezz does great in the car, is familiar with the crate, seems to like to swim, play fetch and run around with toys! He loves a warm lap to get cuddles and love while resting, then he's ready to jump back in for more play. Could Pezz be your new best friend? Pezz is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 3/21/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Maggie is a 6 year old Rottweiler mastiff mix with a lot of personality and a lazy girl spirit. Maggie loves snuggling and scratches! She’s a loyal dog with a loving disposition, but due to my housing circumstances I am unable to keep her. She would do well on a farm or an area that doesn’t get a lot of foot traffic, although she has lived in the heart of town for her whole life so could handle being in that environment. She deserves a patient owner who can spend time with her. She gets along fine with other animals and people, but her nature is to protect. The adoption fee is negotiable, I just want the right people to take her in.
