Story
Nova is a mixed-breed puppy born February 4, 2024, with a personality that’s equal parts sweet, sassy, and adventurous. She approaches life with confidence, curiosity, and a determination that proves every day that being deaf doesn’t stop her from enjoying the world around her.   Nova was born completely deaf, a diagnosis that was confirmed by her veterinarian. While she can’t hear, she shows everyone every day just how capable and intelligent she is. She’s learning hand signals for commands like outside, sit, and lie down, and her treat motivation and eagerness to learn make her a star student. Deaf dogs experience the world differently, but Nova proves every day that they are just as smart, loving, and adaptable as any other dog.   This happy girl is thriving in her foster home, where she lives with both dogs and children and loves them all. She’s playful, affectionate, and always ready to join whatever fun is happening. Nova especially enjoys the company of other dogs, though because she cannot hear warning growls or other canine cues, she’ll need patient dog friends who can tolerate typical puppy antics while she continues learning social skills.   Nova’s ideal home will have a securely fenced yard where she can safely explore, play, and burn off her puppy energy. Because she cannot hear dangers, warnings, or someone calling her back, close supervision and secure boundaries are especially important. Experience with deaf dogs would be wonderful, but a dedicated family willing to learn and help her navigate the world safely could be a great fit as well.   Nova is looking for her people — the ones who will see her abilities instead of her limitations, celebrate her victories, and help her continue learning that the world is a safe and exciting place. In return, she’ll bring endless love, plenty of personality, and a reminder that some of the most special dogs simply experience life a little differently.   The suggested adoption fee for Nova is $365.  Bullies-N-Beyond is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation that is 100% volunteer operated. Adoption donation fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. All dogs adopted through BNBR will have been administered their age appropriate vaccines which may include DHPP, Rabies, Lepto and Bordetella. All dogs will also be adopted out as already altered if of age, for those not of age, a voucher will be provided. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. BNBR does not adopt on a first serve basis. All available dogs are adopted based on their needs to provide the best fit home. ##2013882##

Story
Whiskey is a 4.5 year old Mastiff cross. I'm in need of a new home for Whiskey due to being diagnosed with a terminal illness. I will be relocating home to NH to be with family. He's a sweet boy, good with other dogs and kids. He is anxious around groups of people but he does eventually warm up . He walks on a leash and is anxious around traffic and noise but short walks are fine. He's house broken and loves to just be with you . Whiskey would be best with a small family or one person He comes with a kennel and bed . Thank you so much for reading and contact me with questions .

Story
TABITHA AND MARGO Meet our beautiful purebred Mastiff siblings, a bonded sister pair seeking a special forever home together. At 2½ years old, they are loyal, intelligent, affectionate, and true to the Mastiff breed in both devotion and protectiveness. They can be cautious with strangers at first, but once comfortable, they are loving and deeply loyal companions. Because of their size and guardian instincts, they need an experienced home with strong leadership, structure, and continued socialization. They would do best in a quiet home with few visitors, a very large securely fenced yard is a MUST, and no children under 16. They may do well with another large, gentle dog given proper introductions, but would probably do best with no other pets. To help ensure a successful transition, adopters will be required to attend one complimentary session with our trainer. These are truly lovely dogs looking for a calm, stable home committed to keeping this bonded pair together. Dogs have been professionally obedience trained, are potty trained, and very well mannered in the home.   The suggested adoption donation for both Tabitha and Margo is $750, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees.   Adoptions for Tabitha and Margo are limited to the area within 50 miles of Omaha so that they can continue to take advantage of free training from our certified positive reinforcement trainers.       Information about the adoption process:  All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note:  We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. To learn about Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc.   If the dog or cat you adopt is older than 6 months of age and not spayed or neutered, you will receive a voucher to alter the pet at Val Verde Animal Hospital in Omaha, at no cost to you.  Or you can alter the pet at your own vet and be reimbursed $100 for dogs, and $50 for cats, of total cost.  If the dog or cat is younger than 6 months of age, adopter will be responsible for the cost of altering the pet at the vet of their choice.  If proof of alter is received by Muddy Paws prior to the pet turning 6 months of age, a reimbursement of $100 for dogs and $50 for cats, will be sent to you to help cover expenses.  [Muddy Paws can also suggest a vet with a reduced cost for alters.]  All puppies and kittens MUST be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age.  All dogs and cats MUST be spayed or neutered no later than one month after adoption is finalized.  Thank you in advance for your compliance. ##2749161##
