Story
Meet Benjamin 💙 A gentle giant with a heart of gold Benjamin is a Mastiff mix with the soul of a sweetheart and the body of a cuddle-loving couch potato. He’s playful and goofy once he feels safe, but meeting new people can take a little time—he prefers to build trust slowly and thoughtfully. When he does, you’ll have a loyal Velcro dog who wants nothing more than to be by your side. A few things about Benjamin: • A certified gentle giant—sweet, loving, and wonderful with kids 🧸 • Equal parts couch potato and adventure buddy—happy to nap or join you for walks 🌿 • A true attention hog and Velcro dog—he loves being close to his people 💙 • Playful and goofy once comfortable, with a big personality and even bigger heart 🎾 • Food-motivated and eager to learn—training is going great and he’s a straight-A student 🍪 • House-trained and crate-trained—he knows the routine and does well with structure 🏡 • Learning leash skills and improving every day with positive reinforcement 🐕 • Enjoys car rides and makes an excellent passenger princess 🚗👑 • Good for vet care and handling when he feels safe and supported 🩺 • Shy and a bit nervous in new situations—multiple visits are required to help him feel secure 🌱 • Would thrive in a patient, loving home that lets him settle in at his own pace Benjamin is the kind of dog who bonds deeply and loves wholeheartedly. Give him the time to feel safe, and he’ll repay you with loyalty, affection, and the kind of companionship that only a gentle giant can offer. 📍 The Center for Animal Health and Welfare PA Kennel License #02941 1165 Island Park Rd, Easton, PA 18042

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! My name is Juliana! I'm about 4 years old, 78 lbs. and housetrained. I am timid though, so I  need a special home, one with another dog (or dogs), a fenced in yard and really patient people. I'm so lucky to have a great foster home but I know my  FUR ever family is out there somewhere. Julianna is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Go to our website to see more pictures of her. Make A Difference in your Community - Adopt a Shelter Dog! Would you like to foster a Shelter Survivor? For more information, visit us at www.sheltersurvivors.com THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING – Twix is not in one of our foster homes and we have not met him, we are assisting his owners with finding him a new home. Here are fun facts his owner wants you to know: - Twix / 3yo / Male/ Neutered / 65 lbs / In great health - Mastiff/Herding mix - Up to date on vax since 8/25/25 - Will do best with experienced, active dog owners who would be able to be consistent with good daily habits to strengthen his foundational training. No other animals, no small children in the house. - Has had multiple professional training experiences, all successful. Quick improvements in training sessions. He is passionate about learning. - Housetrained and very communicative about needing the bathroom. Will whine/grumble, give paw or look at door. - He is crate trained and loves his crate. He will crate himself to take naps throughout the day and also will tuck himself to bed when the sun goes down and sleeps through the night. - Not destructive in the home at all, even when left alone. No separation anxiety. - Walks nice on leash! Big sniffer. Knows heel. - Energy level is average/medium. Will match your energy to be very active or a couch potato. Greets with excitement for just a few minutes. - Shines with his family/pack and loves physical and verbal affection. - Total silly playful goofball and sweetie pie who just wants to love. - Loves long walks (hiking and camping), swimming, tug and fetch. - Nervous when not introduced to new dogs and new people but eased with structured introduction or pack walk. 100% success rate when introduced to new people. Selectively reactive with intact males. - No cats is best. He is ok with cats if the cat leaves the dog alone. He lived 2 years with a male cat and they kept to themselves and lived peacefully. - Not socialized around kids. Unknown. - Resource guards around main meals and high value treats, but not with training treats. Very easy to train (food motivated). Does not protect empty bowl. - One bite due to mishandling by his previous owner. The dog was nervous around a stranger and the previous owner did not intro or deescalate then dropped leash. After a professional reactivity evaluation, a trainer assessed him to be safe and not serious about bites. - Previous owner got him as a puppy from a friend’s litter. Story
Meet Garcia  Garcia is truly a survivor. He came to us from the brink of starvation and has fought his way back to health, confidence, and purpose. Now, at just 9 months old, he’s ready to become the incredible dog he was always meant to be. Garcia is a guardian-breed mix (Boerboel, Neapolitan Mastiff, Pit Bull, Cane Corso, and Rottweiler), and he carries all the traits that come with that: loyalty, intelligence, drive, and a strong desire for structure and guidance. He has been training daily with @honorbrightdogtraining and Janice, and he has absolutely flourished. Garcia looks to his people for direction, learns quickly, and thrives when given a job and routine. He has a lot of energy to burn and will do best in an active, experienced guardian-breed home that understands his needs. Garcia would love a large, securely fenced yard where he can run, play, and enjoy his beloved toys. He has done well with other dogs but would also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only. What he needs most is stability, consistency, and leadership. This special boy has overcome so much, and now he deserves a home that can help him continue growing into the confident, balanced guardian he’s meant to be. We are looking for a guardian-breed experienced home to complete Garcia’s journey. You must be over 21 to apply and live within 2 hours of the Lehigh Valley, PA area within NJ or PA. At 9 weeks old, these puppies are full of energy, enthusiasm, curiosity, and playful naughtiness! They follow the mantra of play hard, sleep hard and are ready to bring the action into your home. Noelle is a 10-lb. girl who is expected to be large-sized once fully grown. As an adaptable puppy, she can fit into most homes (other dogs, cats, and kids) as long as her new family is committed to training so that she will grow up to be a well-mannered canine citizen.
