You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! My name is Juliana! I'm about 4 years old, 78 lbs. and housetrained. I am timid though, so I  need a special home, one with another dog (or dogs), a fenced in yard and really patient people. I'm so lucky to have a great foster home but I know my  FUR ever family is out there somewhere. Julianna is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Go to our website to see more pictures of her. See Juliana playing here:  https://www.facebook.com/NJSHPR/videos/703925398009073 If you are interested, submit an application at njshpetrescue.org * You must live within 90 minutes of Chester NJ to be considered as an in-person home visit is required for all adoptions. Make A Difference in your Community - Adopt a Shelter Dog! Would you like to foster a Shelter Survivor? For more information, visit us at www.sheltersurvivors.com THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING – Twix is not in one of our foster homes and we have not met him, we are assisting his owners with finding him a new home. Here are fun facts his owner wants you to know: - Twix / 3yo / Male/ Neutered / 65 lbs / In great health - Mastiff/Herding mix - Up to date on vax since 8/25/25 - Will do best with experienced, active dog owners who would be able to be consistent with good daily habits to strengthen his foundational training. No other animals, no small children in the house. - Has had multiple professional training experiences, all successful. Quick improvements in training sessions. He is passionate about learning. - Housetrained and very communicative about needing the bathroom. Will whine/grumble, give paw or look at door. - He is crate trained and loves his crate. He will crate himself to take naps throughout the day and also will tuck himself to bed when the sun goes down and sleeps through the night. - Not destructive in the home at all, even when left alone. No separation anxiety. - Walks nice on leash! Big sniffer. Knows heel. - Energy level is average/medium. Will match your energy to be very active or a couch potato. Greets with excitement for just a few minutes. - Shines with his family/pack and loves physical and verbal affection. - Total silly playful goofball and sweetie pie who just wants to love. - Loves long walks (hiking and camping), swimming, tug and fetch. - Nervous when not introduced to new dogs and new people but eased with structured introduction or pack walk. 100% success rate when introduced to new people. Selectively reactive with intact males. - No cats is best. He is ok with cats if the cat leaves the dog alone. He lived 2 years with a male cat and they kept to themselves and lived peacefully. - Not socialized around kids. Unknown. - Resource guards around main meals and high value treats, but not with training treats. Very easy to train (food motivated). Does not protect empty bowl. - One bite due to mishandling by his previous owner. The dog was nervous around a stranger and the previous owner did not intro or deescalate then dropped leash. After a professional reactivity evaluation, a trainer assessed him to be safe and not serious about bites. - Previous owner got him as a puppy from a friend’s litter. Story
Meet Garcia  Garcia is truly a survivor. He came to us from the brink of starvation and has fought his way back to health, confidence, and purpose. Now, at just 9 months old, he’s ready to become the incredible dog he was always meant to be. Garcia is a guardian-breed mix (Boerboel, Neapolitan Mastiff, Pit Bull, Cane Corso, and Rottweiler), and he carries all the traits that come with that: loyalty, intelligence, drive, and a strong desire for structure and guidance. He has been training daily with @honorbrightdogtraining and Janice, and he has absolutely flourished. Garcia looks to his people for direction, learns quickly, and thrives when given a job and routine. He has a lot of energy to burn and will do best in an active, experienced guardian-breed home that understands his needs. Garcia would love a large, securely fenced yard where he can run, play, and enjoy his beloved toys. He has done well with other dogs but would also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only. What he needs most is stability, consistency, and leadership. This special boy has overcome so much, and now he deserves a home that can help him continue growing into the confident, balanced guardian he’s meant to be. We are looking for a guardian-breed experienced home to complete Garcia’s journey. You must be over 21 to apply and live within 2 hours of the Lehigh Valley, PA area within NJ or PA. Story
Meet Miracle! They say everyone could use a little miracle in their life, and we happen to know one with four paws and a wagging tail. This 4-year-old, 65-pound Mastiff/Boxer mix came from a hoarding situation and raised a litter of puppies just six months ago. Now it's finally Miracle's turn to be cared for. She is incredibly sweet, calm, and affectionate with people, with a gentle nature that makes everyone she meets fall in love. Miracle is eager to please, seems to genuinely want to follow directions, and should be very receptive to training. She also walks nicely on a leash, especially for a dog her size. Miracle gets along well with other dogs, although she may need to be separated for feedings as she may guard her food. She would likely do great with children and can be cat tested if needed. If you've been waiting for a sign that your perfect companion is out there, maybe this is your Miracle. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Story
Rajah is a 110-pound Bandog who will be 2 years old on July 28th. He is deeply devoted to his family and is incredibly affectionate. Making the decision to rehome him has been heartbreaking, but we recognize that he needs an environment better suited to his breed and temperament. Rajah is a powerful guardian breed with strong protective instincts and is aggressive toward unfamiliar people. He is not a dog who is comfortable meeting strangers or being introduced to new people casually. We invested in professional training, but his natural guardian instincts remain. He will need an experienced owner who has previously owned or handled large guardian breeds and understands how to safely manage a dog with stranger aggression. We have had very limited exposure to other dogs and cats, so we cannot confidently say how he would do with them. There is no adoption fee. Our only priority is finding the right, experienced home where Rajah will be safe.

Story
PA Kennel License #5254Wags Rescue & ReferralSouthampton Pa 18966 Originated from ACCT KL 08313 Hunter is a big-hearted, slightly confused mastiff mix with a heart as huge as his paws! Estimated around 6 years old (but he may secretly be a mischievous young pup at heart), this neutered gentleman is ready to find a home that appreciates a gentle giant with a silly side. Hunter is a quick learnerhes already mastered sit and is working hard on down. He takes treats with the utmost politeness, and is practicing his leash manners like a champ. Crate-trained and loving his fetch sessions, hes a bundle of joy who brings smiles wherever he goes. Currently tipping the scales at just under 100 lbs, Hunter is working on filling out his frame. Despite his impressive size, he truly believes hes a lap dog, and hell happily snuggle as close as youll let him. Hes dog-friendly, playful, and hilariously unaware of just how big he really is. Hunter came to us from a local shelter, a bit on the skinny side, but his heart has always been full. Hes ready to find a home where he can grow into his body, his love, and his ever-expanding collection of toys. If youre ready for cuddles, goofy smiles, and a loyal companion who will happily fetch, sit, and snuggle like a boss, Hunter is your guy!
