Breed: A majestic Spanish Mastiff Mix (Mostly a very large pillow) Age: 5 years young ​The Lowdown from the Rescue Ladies: The sweet humans here say I’m officially a certified wiggle-butt and a friend to all! They also mentioned something about me needing some "house manners," which I’m pretty sure just means I need to learn that my size-large body can’t squeeze into size-small places (but I’m gonna keep trying lol). ​I spent some time "freelancing" on the streets, so I didn't have much time for training etiquette. But that’s totally fine—I’m a smart girl! I just need a patient human who can teach me all the cool dog rules in exchange for endless love and slightly slobbery kisses. 🐶 ​Jellyroll’s Friends & Foes (Mostly Friends!): I think male dogs around my size are pretty awesome! However, I am a bit of a foodie and I don't really believe in "sharing is caring" when it comes to my kibble. If you have another furry family member, my food guarding issues mean you’ll just have to feed me in a separate VIP lounge. Honestly, if you’re holding a ball, we’re going to be best friends! My favorite things are zooming around the yard, soaking up every bit of sunshine, and then curling up for a well-deserved nap. I am such a sweet girl once I get to know you, and I absolutely adore kiddos. I’m also a huge fan of snacks—treats are my love language, which makes me super excited to learn new things! Like most mastiffs, I take my job as a guardian pretty seriously; I’m protective of my home and my people. I can be a little shy when I first meet new men, but if you give me a little patience and a gentle introduction, I’ll be warming up to you in no time. While I do enjoy having friends, I prefer to keep things chill. High-energy dogs are a little much for me, so I’d love to be the only pup in the house or have a calm, laid-back brother or sister who respects my space.
