Story
Adopt Emily! 🐾 Emily is a 3 y/o mastiff mix of medium build. She is lower energy and loves to cuddle. While Emily is dog social, she prefers laid back non playful dogs who meet her same energy. She was very undersocialized and it’s hard to say if she ever lived in a home prior to her foster home. She prefers a quiet home where she can feel safe and relax. She struggled with fear more in the beginning than now. She is being fostered by a professional dog trainer so she has come a long way. She did well with her housemate that recently passed away. That has caused her a little anxiety as she misses her very much. 😔 Emily came into Columbia Animal Services as a stray. She was terrified in her kennel and at risk of euthanasia, so the behavior specialist decided to take her home to foster. ♥️ Emily has been well mannered and polite in her foster home and has enjoyed lounging, eating, playing, and doing enrichment activities. Emily’s adoption comes with free behavior coaching services from Columbia K9 training and behavior! 👍 She is about 40 pounds, medium build, spayed, microchipped and fully vetted. She required eye surgery that was done and she has completely healed. She is the perfect lap dog.

Story
Charlie Brown is a lovable Mastiff mix who is in search of a forever home. This boy is truly a gentle giant. Despite being found abandoned when his previous owners moved away, Charlie Brown has shown immense resilience and is healing beautifully from his past environment. He`s as calm as they come. He has a serene demeanor that makes him an ideal companion for any household. Whether it’s young children, other dogs, or even cats, Charlie Brown gets along with everyone! What desires most is human companionship. Charlie`s knees are a bit achy so he is on a good join supplement. If you`re looking for a running partner, CB isn`t the right pup for you. He`d love nothing more than to be your couch potato buddy, offering warmth and love in exchange for a cozy spot by your side. 6 yrs 90 lb. Neuter, vaccines, microchip provided.

LAUREL To sponsor Laurel or any of our incredible dogs, click here Insta @thebullpenrescue FB https://www.facebook.com/BullpenRescue TikTok: @bullpenrescue Lovely Laurel is looking for her forever family, and wants her new people to know these 10 things about her: 1. I am a Mastador (short for Mastiff mixed with Labrador). I am about 3 years old and I weigh 100lbs. 2. Before rescue, nobody ever cared about me.  My old owners didn’t even bother to give me a name- they just called me “Girl.”  Then I was surrendered to a shelter in rural South Carolina with 6 of my puppies.  The shelter tried to do the right thing and find us rescue as a family, but every rescue that the shelter contacted either said no, or said they would take my puppies but that they couldn’t help me.  As a result, we all sat there for months and months until finally the Bullpen stepped up and said, “Let the puppies go to another rescue, and we will help the mamma.” Can you believe it? They picked me!! 3. I am a very sweet pup, and I like almost everyone I meet.  I know I would do well in a home with children over 10, as long as they weren’t too loud or rambunctious and had some previous experience/training with big dogs. 4. I’m not sure how I feel about other big dogs.  Mostly I ignore them, but I’ve been grumpy with some of the other residents through the fence here.  Maybe if my new home had a large, laid-back male it wouldn’t be too bad, but I also wouldn’t mind being the center of attention! 5. I haven’t had any interaction with small or medium sized dogs at the rescue, so to be on the safe side, it would probably be best if my forever family didn’t have these kinds of pets. 6. My only experience with cats since arriving at the sanctuary is the occasional sighting of a barn cat, so I can’t say for sure if a feline-friendly home is right for me. 7. The words that best describe me are spirited, playful, and affectionate. My favorite thing to do are giving kisses, playing with toys, and napping on my bed. 8. I am housebroken, and I am learning how to walk politely on a leash. I know basic obedience and I’ve already mastered the dog door! 9. I am fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. 10. I am heartworm positive, but I’ve started treatment, and will come with all the medicine needed to complete it at my new home. Ready to give Laurel the forever home of her dreams?
