Hector is a gorgeous grey mastiff mix. He is large and strong, but a big playful teddy bear with people. He takes treats gently, knows sit and enjoys playing with a ball and other toys. Hector absolutely does not need to be with any male dog - he doesn't like them and will let them know. Hector is a about 7 years-old and about 104 lbs. If you enjoy the larger things in life and prefer a one dog house – Hector would be the perfect match! Updated March 2025

If you’re ready to run, he’s ready to zoom. If you’re curled up on the couch, he’s right there snuggling (and yes… he has absolutely zero concept of personal space). He’ll even use his front paws to get your attention if he feels you’re holding out on him! He plays well with other dogs and isn’t aggressive toward people. He did have a couple of tiffs months ago with the resident alpha dog, but that hasn’t happened in a long time — just an early dominance adjustment. Overall, he’s friendly, loyal, and very social. Chomper is also a bit of a character: 🐾 Crate Trained: He goes into his crate easily, especially with a treat for motivation. 🐾 Snack Bandit: If you turn your back, your snacks may mysteriously disappear. With supervision, he’s a total gentleman. 🐾 Kid Experience: He hasn’t been around children, so his interactions with little ones are unknown. This sweet boy is microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, and both crate & potty trained. Ace was surrendered with 4 other dogs due to no fault of his own. He is a very sweet and loveable boy. He walks okay on a leash and seems to be potty trained. Ace would prefer to be right with you and hates being left by himself. He will howl and whine if left in a kennel outside or inside. He has not tried breaking out of a crate. While Ace's previous owner stated that he is good around other dogs and cats, he has not been very dog friendly while here and shows too much interest in cats. Ace does seem to be an adventurous and confident dog, and after seeing how much fun his neighbors have playing in the hose he has started playing in it too. Ace is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. He did test a heavy positive for heartworms and has completed the slow kill method of treatment. His adopter needs to speak to their veterinarian about continued treatment options.
