Story
Hi, I’m Kilo — 35 kilos (77 pounds) of love. I’m a friendly, super sweet couch potato who loves deeply and enjoys a calm, relaxed life. I was owner surrendered through no fault of my own, and I’m now looking for a new family to call my forever. I’m dog friendly and love being around other pups; with my gentle, affectionate nature, I’d likely do very well with kids too. I’m potty trained and leash trained, so I’m easy to live with and ready to settle right in. I’m also a purebred boy with papers, if that matters to you. If you’re looking for 77 pounds of love, loyalty, and laidback companionship, I’d love the chance to meet you and show you just how special I am. I am currently located in Texas but am available for adoption in multiple states across the country. My out of state adoption fee is $850. This fee helps cover the cost of care while I was at the shelter AND the cost of transporting me home! This includes: spay/neuter, if unaltered upon intake. age-appropriate vaccinations during time in care. a registered microchip if unchipped upon intake. a heartworm test if over six months of age. current flea/tick prevention during time in care. 3(+) broad spectrum deworming treatment. any medical expenses while in care. a health certificate for travel. the cost of travel (drivers, gas, and vehicle maintenance if via our route, or up to $200 in crate rental fees if on another transporter’s route!) Every adoption through the SPCA of Brazoria County also come with a PetSmart adoption kit, and some coupons for PetCo! Our first meeting/interview for adoption occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Apply to adopt me at https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/BRAZ/27759-long-distance-adopt-app. If you have questions, please email jami@spcabc.org.

Health Condition * Neutered. * Microchipped and heartworm negative. 2.) Rescue Story * Tom was rescued as a puppy with his four siblings from a dog slaughterhouse in Jeongeup and stayed at the Jeongeup Shelter. A year later, Tom and his siblings were placed on the euthanasia list, but they were rescued by Adogs just in time. 3.) Basic Information * With People: Still feels a bit shy with human touch, but approaches with curiosity to sniff. Runs away if you try to touch him. Is gentle without any signs of aggression when approached by strangers. Comes closer to familiar people with treats. Can be touched and leashed when he is cornered. * With Dogs: Gets along well and plays only with familiar dogs. Is a bit wary of new dogs and does not mingle with them. * With Cats: Does not react to cats nicely. Barks if he sees them outside the fence. May chase or threaten them, so careful attention is needed. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed as he currently resides with other dogs at our center. * Potty Training: Only does outdoor pottying at our center. * Hygiene: Takes a bath nicely and accepts brushing well. * Walks: Has been trained at a dog training school, so he is a well-behaved walker! May be startled by sudden noise during walks, so care should be taken. Pulls a little on the leash and he’s undergoing training for this. * Car Sickness: Doesn't get car sick. * Has not bitten. * May bark when meeting strangers. * Loves treats and food. * May feel uncomfortable with too much touch or attention. Please take your time to approach him slowly.

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to SEA💟 Meet Klein💚 💙 Klein’s News Account: @klein__55 1.) Health Condition * Spayed. * Microchipped and heartworm negative. 2.) Rescue Story * Klein was rescued from a slaughterhouse in Jeongeup along with her four siblings when they were very young. She stayed at the Jeongeup shelter for about a year. However, when she and her siblings were placed on the euthanasia list, Adogs stepped in and saved them, including Klein. 3.) Basic Information * With People: Tends to be quite shy. So when she first arrived at her foster home, she was wary and scared of her foster parents. Now, feels more comfortable at home and does not avoid them when they approach and sit by her. She wags her tail, whines in affection, and approaches! Seems to rely more on her foster mom in new environments. When there are strangers around, she’ll approach the women first to sniff them, but avoids men and runs away. If a stranger gives her a treat, she’ll take it and run away to eat it in her own space. Met young children at a dog-friendly cafe, but didn’t show interest in them. * With Dogs: Feels more comfortable around dogs than people. Approaches other dogs wagging her tail, but only sniffs them gentlly and politely — is a very mannered and gentle dog. Becomes more social and greets familiar dogs more actively. * With Cats: Tends to chase cats she encounters on walks and pulls on the leash. Caution is needed. * Separation Anxiety: When her foster parents were out for about an hour, she chewed things she could see and peed indoors. She barked and howled too. Her foster parents gave her longer walks and spent more time letting her use nosework toys. There’s an anti-opening device on the door so she can no longer open the door, and her behavior has improved. She’s being trained for separation anxiety. * Potty Training: Indoor potty training is still in progress, with about a 70% success rate on pads. Prefers to relieve herself outdoors and always poops outside. * Hygiene: Doesn't enjoy baths or brushing, but tolerates them well. Is still a bit scared of the dryer and tends to run away to avoid it. For nail trimming, one more person is needed to hold her while another trims her nails. Her guardian is currently introducing her to tooth brushing gently with a soft gauze and rubber toothbrush. * Walks: Pulls hard on the leash when she sees cats. She’s gained confidence and has become stubborn on walks, so she’s being retrained. * Car Sickness: Doesn’t get car sick but is scared of bright lights like neon signs at night, preferring to be held by a person for comfort. * Biting: Never shows possessive, defensive, or aggressive biting behavior. * Barking: Occasionally whines briefly when her guardian comes home or comes back into a room. * Likes: Loves sleeping, treats, and going for walks. Enjoys lying on the grass and relaxing during walks outside. Likes biting hard objects like charger cables, plastic hangers, pencils, shoes, etc. Enjoys lying on the couch when her foster parents are not around. Likes being warm, so she enjoys wearing clothes. She even sleeps much more comfortably when wearing clothes! * Dislikes: Is scared when strangers approach or when she hears loud noises. Is frightened by neon signs and bright lights when riding in a car at night. Dislikes sitting on cold floors. Is afraid to go into a small, dark space, so she's reluctant to go into kennel or doggy house. * Tricks: Didn’t respond to her name at first, she’s started to show interest when she hears her name and sometimes even comes! Is being trained to give her paw, but doesn’t like her paws being touched. Is being trained to go in her kennel, but she still prefers to go in to take treats out rather than stay inside.
