Murphy is a cute little 25lb. 7-year-old Dachshund mix who is sadly looking for a new home through no fault of his own. His family is moving out of the country and, heartbreakingly, cannot take him with them—leaving Murphy in need of a loving place to land.
Murphy is a sweet, gentle boy who would do best in a quiet home where he can enjoy a calm routine and lots of love. He prefers to be the only pet, making him a perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal little shadow. Murphy enjoys affection, companionship, and simply being near his person.

Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have.
NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes.
If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement.
