Demi is about 3 years old, weighs 28 pounds, and we think she is a Beagle/Dachshund mix. She's a medium- to low-energy girl who would be perfectly content spending her days by your side. Her calm nature makes her an especially wonderful companion for retirees or older adopters looking for a loyal best friend. After spending so much of her energy caring for her babies, Demi is learning what life as "just a dog" looks like. She's a sweet, affectionate girl who loves being close to her people and would thrive with someone who is home often. She forms strong bonds and can experience some separation anxiety when left alone. She's not destructive - she simply loves the comfort of having her favorite people nearby. Demi is good with cats, respectful children, and calm dogs with slow introductions and time to decompress. Demi has spent her life putting everyone else first. Now it's her turn to be someone's baby - to be spoiled, loved, and cherished the way she deserves. Once she bonds with someone, she is incredibly affectionate and enjoys being close to them.Nala needs an experienced adopter who understands dog behavior and is willing to continue working with her challenges. She must be the only pet in the home, as she does not do well with cats or other dogs.Nala has resource-guarding tendencies and may growl or snap when protecting food, treats, resting spaces, or a person she is attached to. She is also reactive on walks and may bark, growl, and pull when she sees other dogs or unfamiliar people.She currently takes Prozac to help manage anxiety and reactivity. Nala also struggles with car rides and experiences seasonal skin allergies that can cause hot spots.Nala's ideal home is a calm, patient environment committed to helping her succeed. I am full time caregiver for my Dad. Rudy is my parents sweet baby. My mom spoiled him and she has passed away and my dad has Alzheimers. I can no longer care for both. Rudy loves everyone and needs a more active home. Dad keeps saying to put him to sleep. I hesitate because he is sweet but he does have allergies and is overweight due to being spoiled! I take him every month for his allergy shot but doesnt seem to help. I think he is depressed. Please find a fun acrive rehome!
