Story
Ozzie is a sweet, intelligent dog with a big heart and a deep bond to the people he loves. He is wonderful with people he knows well, and although he tends to bark a lot when first meeting someone new, it doesn’t take him long to warm up and adjust. He grew up around my mom’s dog, and the two of them always got along great. While meeting new dogs can be more challenging for him, Ozzie does very well on walks and can calmly pass other dogs without any issues. He shows similar behavior around young children, which our vet believes may be because he sees kids as more on his level.Ozzie is incredibly smart and eager to learn. He was trained to ring a bell by the door whenever he wants to go outside, which shows just how quickly he picks up new skills. He loves playing fetch, listens well, and genuinely enjoys being engaged and active. He does have anxiety which can lead to reactive behaviors, I think he would be well suited with someone who has experience with dogs that have reactivity

Meet Oscar 💙 Oscar is the other half of Meyer’s heart and the perfect complement to her confident personality. Around 8 to 9 years old, this handsome Dachshund man is true to his breed in all the best ways. He has that classic doxie charm, a little bit of sass, and plenty of opinions to share. Oscar is incredibly sweet and loves being close to his people. He is quite talkative and will happily let you know when it is time for attention, snacks, or snuggles. While Meyer may be the leader of the pair, Oscar is her devoted partner and thrives with her by his side. The two will need to be adopted together, as they truly bring out the best in one another. Oscar is still waiting to be neutered and have a dental, which will be taken care of through our clinic. Once that is completed, he will be ready to settle into a loving home where he can enjoy his golden years surrounded by comfort, companionship, and plenty of cozy spots to nap.
