Story
Daisy and Donut are 2 yrs old. The perfect age as they are all grown out of the puppy stages. They are both housebroken and just the sweetest lovable dogs. They are current on all vaccinations and preventatives and have been spayed and neutered. Daisy is a little more high energy but not excessive. She is wonderful especially if she has a chewy bone or toy. Not destructive, she just likes something to chew on. Donut is lower energy but still loves to chase a ball and play with his sibling. They both know sit and will shake when asked as well. Leash and kennel trained and will sleep in their kennel 8-9 hours with no problems. They are great dogs and their family does not want to give them up but they have had a coupled unexpected deaths in the family and unforeseen circumstances that make it unfair for these two as far as time and space. Their current family would love for them to go together and the adoption fees can be adjusted accordingly if we can find a spot together for them both. We will consider single applications if we can’t find a home together. Once adopted Daisy and Donut will will travel via private transport (transport cost is $165.00) to a location closest to you. Don't let his pictures fool you. This guy is tiny and mighty. He's 14 lbs and full grown. Loves to explore ! Loves other dogs! Loves all people! Happy to be alive! You can almost see him smiling and you most certainly cannot have a done day with this little guy around. He's house trained and kennel trained and he's neutered , ready to find his forever family. Great with kids. He's currently with me in my home as a foster in Memphis Tennessee. Once adopted, He will travel on Transport to the north east or the Midwest. The transport company travels each and every weekend to the north east, delivering dogs as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island once adopted. Transport is an additional $185. ABOUT ME... I am Tom (aka Tommy Salami). I had to come to rescue because my former owner could not care for me anymore. I am a super snuggly, 3yo dachshund boy. I spend most of my day curled up in my foster mom's lap. I am a perfect work from home dog! My foster mom expects me to be nervous upon first meeting, but I warm up very quickly. My foster mom says I am a charming, snuggly sweetheart. I do well with other dogs, but I have not been tested with cats. I AM GREAT WITH... Snuggling! I love to snuggle and take good naps on foster mom's lap. I am house trained, but won't tell you when I need to go out, so please take me out at regular intervals. I did have a few accidents when I first came home, but now I have the hang of it and I am good at holding it ever since. I AM STILL WORKING ON... Meeting new people. I might get very nervous and growl when I first meet you, but I am trying to do better. I still make friends quickly. If you are patient and get to know me, you will quickly learn I am truly a sweetheart. I AM NOT GOOD WITH... I do not like a lot of noise and conflation. I would do best in a quiet home with no young children. **All animals in our care are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (age 1 & up), given preventatives, and provided with initial vaccinations AT MINIMUM. Booster shots are included in the adoption fee and will be performed at our clinic, or the adopter can use their own vet at their expense. Adopters must reside within 2 hours of Columbus, OH. No transportation assistance is available.**

This sweet, small, senior pair grew up together. When their owner passed away, they were dropped off at a shelter, leaving their whole lives upended and confused. Mini is a female dachshund mix and Coco Puff is a male min pin mix. Both of these dogs are pretty perfect. They are house-trained, laid back, and really just want a home to live out the rest of their lives. Mini is a little shy at first but she warms up quickly. Both dogs are quiet and very relaxed. They do well with other dogs and even with the resident kitty. They have not been kid-tested since being with DASH, but they have not shown any concerning signs of behavior. If you are ready to have affectionate and easy-going companionship, these two could not be more perfect for you. Double your fun!
