Story
Butch is a loving bundle of joy. He is 7.5 weeks old, weighs 3.5 lbs, and we expect his adult weight to be in the neighborhood of 15-20 lbs. He is currently chubby but now that he runs and plays a lot, we expect his baby fat to disappear. His short coat is soft and his baby teeth are sharp, but chewing toys and bones will dull them a little. His mother is a Min Pin, and she was pregnant when she arrived at the shelter, so we don't have any info on the father's breed. His wrinkly facial skin and brindle coloring suggest he may be part Frenchie (or maybe even part Pug, but he is not brachycephalic). This puppy cutely rolls over on his back to garner attention and sometimes even sleeps on his back. His mother is extremely loyal and protective, and I suspect Butch is picking up on this skill. So far, he is adorable, loving and definitely very smart; he saw the other dogs go through the dog door and he figured it out by the next day. I was very surprised as this is unusual for such a young puppy. He is teaching his brother to do the same. Butch will make an excellent companion for a family with children as long as the children understand to use gentle hands and loving commands. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Butch, the first step is to submit an adoption application. Story
Minnie is about 4 years old, 11 lbs and at a good weight, has a short black and tan coat and looks like a miniature pinscher (at least that's our best guess). Her tail is docked, and her ears cropped. She is very loving, sweet, loyal and protective with both her humans and her puppies, but she has never bitten, even when scared and extremely vulnerable bursting with babies in her tummy. She was very protective of her babies when they were first born but is now confident and comfortable with everyone (dogs and humans) handling and playing with her and her babies. Personally, I think she will be glad to have them gone and stop trying to suckle. Those baby teeth are sharp! Minnie will bark at dogs she can hear beyond the fence line, until you say a firm NO BARKING. She will bark at delivery people and the pool and gardening help, but she only barks. She will stop if you pick her up when strangers are within eyesight. She seems to accept strangers somewhat quickly if allowed to be petted etc. Her foster mom was amazed how quickly she decides she likes you and begs for lap time. She loves lap time! Minnie would do best in a home with no other doggie competition, or two adults who both share lap times with her. She will insist on being the top dog and scoot the other dog out of the preferential lap position. It's almost funny how she lets you know she is important. We enjoy Minnie and believe she will make a great companion for someone. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Minnie, the first step is to submit an adoption application. Story
Sebastian: 13 yr old chocolate male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 12", 13 lb. Fully vetted. Sebastian is an approximately13 year old (don't tell him , he has no idea he is that old) chocolate minpin. He is spunky, fun, and boy does he love his food. He will tell you all about how much he loves it while you are getting it ready. He bounces and runs around, he would love someone that would take him on walks everyday so he could have new adventures to keep him busy. He does love his couch though and to be with his person so he is not just a get up and go. He does well with other dogs of all sizes (he goes to a doggie daycare everyday), is potty trained, and kennel trained. He does love to run so watch that door when it is open, he is speedy for being oldish. Note: Sebastian is located in Fallon, NV - and we will not fly this boy. If you wish to adopt, please fill out our IMPS Min Pin Adoption Application If you have previously submitted an Application form, there is no need to re-apply. Story
Lucki was born May 17, 2024. He is very active, likes to play, and cuddle We adopted him from a breeder. He is very loyal puppy and is potty trained. He rings the door bell when he needs to go potty outside. He knows the commands sit, stay, shake, and down. Lucki also could be possessive of toys, so he may need training there. He is crate trained at night and sleeps through the night already. He is a healthy puppy. No food allergies. Due to our family’s busy schedule, we can no longer keep up with the demand/time Lucki needs to be happy and active.
