Story
Froggy is simply the best of everything you could ask for. Looking for the perfect mix of playful and cuddly? Froggy is the total package! At 26 lbs, she’s the perfect size to take on the road or snuggle up on the couch, though she’s still learning that car rides can be fun. This sweet girl loves everyone she meets and enjoys being part of the family. She’s happiest in the house surrounded by her people, squeaky toys, and tennis balls. Belly rubs are her favorite, and she’ll never turn down a good play session. She’s food-motivated, playful, and loves to go on walks (she’s still learning not to pull, but she’s eager to please). She’s crate trained, doing amazing with potty training, and sleeps soundly in her crate, though she’d be thrilled to snooze on your bed, too. Froggy gets along great with other dogs but does best with proper introductions. She’d thrive in a home with kids and another playful pup to keep her company. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion who’s the best of everything, Froggy might just be your perfect match. Est DOB 3/8/25

Story
Old Man Bruce entered the San Diego Humane Society as a stray, and after he wasn't claimed, we welcomed him as a Frosted Face on November 24th. Bruce is estimated to be 10 years old and weighs 14 lbs. He went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn more about him while he enjoyed being loved on in a home. His Fling Mom reports: "Bruce can be shy while meeting new people but is very sweet regardless. Around other dogs, he is very relaxed and happy. Bruce loves to walk and run. He has a very bouncy run. He likes to be rubbed and scratched and enjoys this as a play behavior. He is happiest when I sit on the floor with him and rough house with some gentle pushing and rubs. He gets very excited and when you stop he will use his paws to ask for more of this type of play. He will jump up on your legs to indicate he wants to play like this. Bruce loves to eat whatever food is available. He doesn't show any aggression towards other dogs during meal time, but he will try to steal their food before even finishing his own. I was able to take his plate away from him and move or redirect him from the other dog's plate without any signs of aggression. I did feed him separately during meal time only. During Bruce's fling, we went on many walks and engaged in a lot of play inside the house. We also went to a winery and Christmas market, and he was very well behaved albeit shy while we were there. I think as his confidence grows Bruce will be a fantastic dog to bring on many outings!" To meet adorable Bruce, please email: placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.I found this sweet puppy wandering on a busy street, narrowly avoiding becoming a victim of traffic. After rescuing her, I managed to locate her owner, who had adopted her from the San Diego Humane Society as an 8-week-old puppy. Sadly, the owner, a senior citizen residing in a care facility, admitted she was unable to handle Sierra's boundless energy and felt misled about her breed. When she reached out for help, I couldn't refuse. Now named Sierra, this 5-month-old pup is a whirlwind of happiness and enthusiasm. She adores people and dogs of all sizes and coexists peacefully with our foster cats. Sierra would blossom as a family dog, particularly with older, considerate children. She enjoys walks and car rides and would thrive with consistent puppy training. If you're located in Southern California, San Diego, or nearby areas, have a home with a secure yard, and are looking to adopt Sierra, please fill out our adoption application at www.tlck9rescue.org.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 18, 2025, 4:07 pm
